This tiny mod makes small changes to the map editor. It only works with Hammers of Fate and affects both editors:
1) Original editor
It becomes possible to use snow textures and objects from the expansion on the map. However, such maps will most likely not work in the original game, but the fact that the editor is getting closer to the expansion is encouraging.
2) Expansion editor
A new tab called "Internal Objects" appears, containing hidden models of buildings and NPCs. The categories of objects and textures have been translated.
I think this will be news for many, and quite pleasant news at that. There is an international project called NCF, the goal of which is to introduce a huge number of neutral creatures into Heroes 5 version 3.0, which the game clearly lacks. A method for adding new creatures to the game without replacing the old ones has already been devised, so it's hard to call this nonsense or a waste of time. The main method of creating creatures is to significantly recolor existing models, radically change stats, and icons. As a result, very interesting and completely new creatures are created. Part of the work was entrusted to the official Nival forum. You can see what has already been done on this website by user Psatkha.
I also recommend visiting the Nival forum thread (starting from post 237, although you can read the whole thread). In this topic, you can suggest your own creature idea, and there is a chance that the creature you suggested will be brought to life sometime (quite soon). :)
And to pique your interest, here are a few pictures of recolored creatures - see the attachments. I'm only posting pictures and only a small part of them, just to intrigue you. ;)
I will try to keep the forum updated and announce all the news related to NCF in this topic; I think it will be of great interest to all fans of the 5th installment. You can also discuss it here. ;)
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
Check out the Nival forum, I left a link. There, **Psatkha** wrote about adding creatures. If you want, you can figure it out ;) Or wait for the mod to be released, but that won't be very soon.

Yes, I’ve read that forum. There’s nothing fundamentally new to add there. Just reworked old units. It’s like giving the riders on bears the ability to drain energy from living creatures. Although… it’s still the same game. Why not?

Hey, does anyone have a link to a mod that adds firebirds to the game?
I recently downloaded the mod Crimson_Necropolis_allin1_RUS. This mod completely recolors the Necropolis, its heroes, and its creatures in blood-red and burgundy hues. However, it's not just a recoloring; the game's balance has also been changed. The city now features mummies, wolves, black knights, and knights... Moreover, the Liches have become thinner and are no longer large creatures. Also, wolves have become level 1 units, with 15 HP, while skeletons only have 5. They also retain the "Howl" ability, which summons an identical unit to the battlefield once per battle. The level 2 unit, mummies, has 50 HP and two spells: Raise Dead and Dispel, costing 20 mana. In general, take a look yourself; the mod continues in the same vein, essentially making undead a powerful force. Overall, I don't need to say much more; check out the mod on the website: http://all4heroes.net/

I downloaded the suggested mods, and some of them seemed quite interesting.
Are there any mods similar to the one for Necropolis, which replaces the undead with Dark Knights and zombies with mummies?
And is it possible to create a mod for a neutral town? After all, theoretically, it could be formed from the neutral creatures in the entire game.
Do you mean having Wolves, Elementals, Dark Knights/Manticore, and the main Phoenix in one Castle? Is that what you mean? IMO, it turns into some kind of zoo.
