The worst Imperia. More expensive, gets wrecked by Jeanne and Leva. Only for Tier 2.
But you can use both for consistency. If there are slots available.
Well... I'm not sure it will place more than 1-2 puppets, but overall it's decent for Bronze.
Tier 2 trash, 100% info.
Basically, make puppetcraft great again, as if Portal didn't already have tools for clearing the board.
Like Zeenitra – it didn't. But the point isn't just clearing the board, but leaving something on it and winning through tempo. Artifacts don't have this problem, and they don't need this card, but puppets are completely unplayable at the moment because they have neither a board presence nor pressure on the opponent. You clear what you can, like a retard, while they beat your face in, and try to survive until Noah. I don't know if 7 power points is too much for this, but it looks useful and works without evolving – that's already good.
The Forest Elephant wasn't enough for them. Overall, a very overpowered finisher, but I don't know how easy it will be to awaken.
I saw an opinion online that the card design is very good because it represents a win condition separate from kings and mills, but it can't be abused with ramp.
Mordecai, Portalcraft edition.
Mordecai in 2018 against a bunch of banishers and transformations – nice. Fills the board, you can't even attack on your turn without acceleration. Evolve Icarus or the girl herself on turn four and pull this crap out – you can immediately concede. A meme for drinking beer with God Bullet Golem, basically.
Well, this map doesn't have anything inherently "puppet-like" about it, except for the style, and the "puppet" portal sometimes messes around with artifacts, just for fun.
Today's match was good; it's a shame I didn't take any screenshots. I played a "Blood" build against a "Albert" build. I really got into the atmosphere; it was like a noble knight trying to dominate a creature of the abyss, but it wouldn't let itself be dominated, and in the end, I dominated it myself. The "Mask" is awesome.
He's just messing around out of desperation. He's playing with Icarus and Kitties, adding unnecessary junk to his deck, but he doesn't have the skill to properly utilize that junk because he's not playing with puppets. He sits there, topdecks 3-1 suicide decks instead of actual cards, and posts sad stuff in "how's the mood." But here's a decent card that controls the board and leaves two bodies in play. It simply fits into any potential non-deus-based archetype. If they add other, less expensive power point options, then maybe we can finally play with non-artifact cards.
"I did it! I won!" (c) Arisa
After four unsuccessful attempts to get through the portal (three times 3-2, once 2-2 - skipped after two losses), I decided to use a ticket and take the neutral forest. I lost the first match against a Shadow, then won three relatively easy matches, and the final boss was a mirror match. The guy had a strange build - Evelisa, Air Assault, and a sudden Wolf at the end (neutral forest with an Elephant? or was he planning to pull Zeus?).
A neutral forest with an elephant. The wolf can't handle the neutral creatures, but the elephant is used as a finisher.
And I still didn't make it into Group A. I don't know why. I don't seem to be making any serious mistakes, but everyone keeps beating me, both in tournaments and in daily games, no matter what I do. Daria gets lucky with high rolls – you don't get a single Twin Shot, but you DO have BB and ISRI (without Sahir). You mirror match with a dragon – he has all the ramp and all the finishers, while your T5 fervor finally ramps up. Daria – either she doesn't get any for 10 rounds, or she gets two or three in the first four rounds; of course, she only draws spells for spellboost, Owls, and Clarks. You play against a Shadow – of course, Aisha appears on the tenth round; you play Shadow yourself – they get lethal one round before Aisha. In unlimited mode. Storm – you go second against Aggro Blood, Aggro Knight, and another Aggro Knight, and you get completely crushed by the control Blood. Seraph – Vengeance-Blood, and you have zero themis. Mordekai appears on the fifth round, and you can't even reduce his HP to 3 before banning him with a priest. Aggro Knight, and you have barely any cat removal.
Only one thing made me happy: when I played Skeletal Prince under the windmills, and the opponent used Banish on it. It turned out to be an amazing value trade.
I have a balanced situation – two 5-0, two 4-1, two 3-2. I was lucky to encounter few Burn Rune, Neutral-Blood, and Mill decks ramping up +5 dragons. Now, I started a new daily quest on autopilot, but only then realized that it was still in the first stage and would only move to the second in the evening. Well, at least I earned some money and a bit of progress on the second quest. I guess I'll have to play for that money in the evening. In general, the main thing is not to fail in the second stage. Somewhere on the internet, I saw the opinion that this format is dominated by Burn Rune, and in five days, I only encountered it 3-4 times. But today, I had three more games against it, which is funny, considering that today's attempt was probably the easiest and fastest of all, and they didn't even brick. I finished it all in 15-20 minutes.
dragon Daria
After 15+ months of Shadowverse, I belatedly had an epiphany regarding these two decks – it's better not to play them at all if you care about your sanity. You can still somehow manage with Daria when the slot machine is messing with you, but it's still often very sad, and Dragon is just hell. I would never have chosen them for the new mode (but people do), and I already find it unpleasant in ranked. Dragon is... When very little depends on your personal skill, and a lot depends on the matchup, what cards you and your opponent get; when you can lose in a few turns, not only without a chance but even without playing anything; when you increase your ranked rating not through skillful play, but by spamming the "battle again" button; when your losses are not due to waiting for Bahamut or being bricked and exhausted, but your wins are unfairly rolling over your opponent. Hmm.
In general, for myself, I decided that until Cygames works on the class, it is dead for me. Fortunately, I found a new aesthetic deck that I can play, in which something depends on you, and which has the potential to win in any matchup. I am enjoying the last few days before the Daria rotation and how everyone will go back to the broken Burn Rune, after which it will become impossible to play again.
Somewhere on the internet, I saw an opinion that this format is full of bad players.
Surprisingly, I encountered far more Burn Rune decks than Dash decks. And this was one of the reasons why I couldn't play Portal properly. And the Dash decks I did encounter never showed an amazing opening with a flooded board on turns 4-5 (although this is common in ranked).
After 15+ months of Shadowverse, I was belatedly enlightened specifically about these two decks - it's better not to play them at all if you care about winning.
That's why I didn't take Daria to the Grand Prix - I was afraid of bad draws. I didn't even consider Dragon, and I don't have much experience with it.
There are even more of them in ranked now. Redditors have the memory of a goldfish. If they don't introduce new "cancerous" decks, I can already see their post-Daria whining.
A week ago, I played ranked in Tier 2, and then I noticed that the replay menu was completely empty. Today, I saw that it's recording Priest and Constructed, but not Tier 2 anymore. Again, they coded it sloppily and pretended that's how they intended it to be. ))))) Also, I had a good laugh at another edgy kid. He decked himself out in all the most "competitive" stuff so that he would be respected in the class, and he probably even stole the name of that tournament for his rage. I crushed him with an elephant and didn't even use my last evolution.
That's why I didn't take Daria to the Grand Prix - I was afraid of bad draws. I didn't even think about the dragon, and I don't have much experience with it.
The same thing, only ten times worse. Now, only masochists play Ramp. The rest are playing aggro, and it's suddenly quite good. After a year and a half, the "king game" finally produced several cards from the expansion that fit into the deck and lifted it out of the trash.
Just now, I also qualified for Group A with a score of 4-1, playing a neutral deck. It's a really strong and reliable deck...
This time, I didn't encounter Rune; instead, I faced Blood with Devil Blade (lol), Aggro Sylvan, Neutral Sylvan, Control Sword, and Midrange. In the last match, my opponent disconnected when he realized he was going to lose on the next turn, either from the board state or from Sahay's Zeus. Apparently, he really needed the win, and I, the scoundrel, ruined it for him, haha. What can I say, I also needed to win.
Stability means playing five times, finishing 4-1 five times. XD
Twice on aggro-sword, twice on burn-rune, once on poop-forest (this is a deck I copied from a streamer, I call it that because it plays Kibble, who grows fake butts).
Added after 19 hours and 1 minute.
So, how are the qualifiers going into the final phase? I lost the first attempt 3-2, and in the second, I lost the first two matches (one to a high-roller on Duskblade, the other to a terrible dragon), got frustrated, and left. I'll try again tomorrow on forest.
The neutral creatures didn't disappoint this time either. Losing to a Grand Master on the Abomination Rune was a strange match. The guy puts two Abominations on the board on turns 3-4, I have Twin Strike in my hand – and at that moment, a neutral creature appears. It would have been easy. But instead, an Ent appears, and with Twin Strike, I can only deal 5 damage, so I just have to defend with a Ward. I was already mentally prepared to take 12 damage to the face, but the guy skips his turn. I'm happy, but the neutral creature still doesn't appear. And then I seriously got greedy (I don't even understand why) and didn't give up the Pig and the Evolution.
And I paid the price for it. The remaining Abomination, evolved with the help of spells and protected by a Golem-Ward, successfully beat me in a couple of turns. The final boss was also a Grand Master, playing Summit Haven. Despite a good start for me and a mediocre start for him, the match was close. I managed to take away the last 10 health points with two Zeus creatures on turns 10-11, with an Aegis already on the board. If he had a heal or a Ward at that moment, it would have probably been game over.
