Shadowverse

I have a balanced situation – two 5-0, two 4-1, two 3-2. I was lucky to encounter few Burn Rune, Neutral-Blood, and Mill decks ramping up +5 dragons. Now, I started a new daily quest on autopilot, but only then realized that it was still in the first stage and would only move to the second in the evening. Well, at least I earned some money and a bit of progress on the second quest. I guess I'll have to play for that money in the evening. In general, the main thing is not to fail in the second stage.
Somewhere on the internet, I saw the opinion that this format is dominated by Burn Rune, and in five days, I only encountered it 3-4 times. But today, I had three more games against it, which is funny, considering that today's attempt was probably the easiest and fastest of all, and they didn't even brick. I finished it all in 15-20 minutes.

After 15+ months of Shadowverse, I belatedly had an epiphany regarding these two decks – it's better not to play them at all if you care about your sanity. You can still somehow manage with Daria when the slot machine is messing with you, but it's still often very sad, and Dragon is just hell. I would never have chosen them for the new mode (but people do), and I already find it unpleasant in ranked.
Dragon is... When very little depends on your personal skill, and a lot depends on the matchup, what cards you and your opponent get; when you can lose in a few turns, not only without a chance but even without playing anything; when you increase your ranked rating not through skillful play, but by spamming the "battle again" button; when your losses are not due to waiting for Bahamut or being bricked and exhausted, but your wins are unfairly rolling over your opponent. Hmm.

In general, for myself, I decided that until Cygames works on the class, it is dead for me. Fortunately, I found a new aesthetic deck that I can play, in which something depends on you, and which has the potential to win in any matchup. I am enjoying the last few days before the Daria rotation and how everyone will go back to the broken Burn Rune, after which it will become impossible to play again.
