I'm planning to create a small but complete overhaul of Heroes 5, set in the Star Wars universe.
Currently, the plan is to create only one map (the very first scene from Episode IV, the attack on Princess Leia's ship).
Accordingly, there will be two Factions: the Empire and the Rebels.
You might be wondering how it can be "small but complete." Well, all the content from Heroes 5 that doesn't fit the Star Wars universe will be hidden from the player. The interface and other elements will be redrawn. Plus, I want to slightly change some aspects of the game to better suit the new setting.
Several character models are already ready.
Stormtroopers with shock batons.
The same, but with blasters.
And here are some more soldiers, something like un-upgraded stormtroopers.
AUTHORS - The stormtrooper model was originally created by a user named DT85 for Jedi Academy, the shock baton and E11 rifle were created by a user named Rooxon, also for Jedi Academy, the head of the un-upgraded stormtrooper was taken from the "army trooper" pack by Vade Parvis, and I ported all of this for Heroes.

And of course, how could we do without Vader?
AUTHORS - The Vader model was originally created by a user named Toshi for the game Jedi Academy, the model of Vader's lightsaber hilt was created by Revan Dark, also for Jedi Academy, and I ported them for Heroes 5.

So, what do you think, is this idea interesting to you?
I'm not promising that it will be finished very soon, of course. I hope everyone understands that, even with this relatively small amount of work, it will take quite a long time to complete such a project properly.
You can follow the progress of the mod in my VK group. If the idea is interesting, or if you are generally interested in my mods, feel free to join. I'll at least know that it's needed by someone and that I'm not doing all this for nothing.

P.S. Sorry for the advertisement if it's too much
I plan to create a small but complete remake of Heroes 5 in the Star Wars setting.
Currently, the plan is to create only one map (the very first scene from Episode 4, the attack on Princess Leia's ship). Accordingly, there will be two factions: the Empire and the Rebels.
You might ask, what does "small but complete" mean? Well, all the content from Heroes 5 that doesn't fit the Star Wars universe will be hidden from the player. The interface and other elements will be redrawn. Plus, I want to slightly change some aspects of the game to better suit the new setting.
What's the point?!
I think it's better to channel your energy into something worthwhile!
P.S. Sorry for the advertisement, if it's too much.
Excellent advertisement and relevant... Ideally, the topic should be placed in the "mods" section. But if it's not ready yet, it doesn't matter. It looks high-quality. The main thing is that the reworked version now has a good balance and gameplay.
Why specifically NCF or NHF, and not, for example, a mod based on Star Wars? Is this idea really not interesting to anyone?
Cool! I'm all for any high-quality development, although I don't really like the idea of hiding content from Heroes 5 that doesn't fit into the Star Wars universe from the player – it simplifies the game (not in terms of difficulty, but in terms of richness and content).
We'll keep an eye on it.
Regarding NCF and NHF – these are the most successful, widely used, and beloved mods for Heroes. Practice shows that mods that complement the game and expand it are more popular than those that make a lot of changes that not everyone likes. Among the mods that primarily introduce changes rather than additional content, balance mods are usually the most popular.
So, considering what has been said about NCF and NHF, there is a stagnation in the creation of new 3D models, and you, judging by all, are passionate about Heroes 5 (as are we all :) ) – accordingly, psatkha's proposal is obvious.
... И древний лес, роскошен и печален, Блистает там воздушностью прогалин. Но между кедров, полных тишиной, Расщелина по склону ниспадала. О, никогда под бледною луной Так пышен не был тот уют лесной...
Funny and interesting. We're looking forward to at least a trial version. ;) Droids. Other races – overall, it's great! I probably won't play it, but I'd really like to take a look.
Is there a list of creatures available? I can't remember anything right now except for stormtroopers, shadow pilots from the Empire, and walking cannons. And the Rebels don't have that many creatures either (Jedi, Rebels, droids). The Trade Coalition (or whatever they're called) is much more interesting.

Well, the Empire has many different tanks and starships. The Rebels also have starships. And we also need a faction for the Ewoks. They have a whole line of wooden battering rams.
First of all, thank you all for your interest in the idea. Interested

I'm more interested in the period of the original trilogy.
And regarding the creatures, I'm planning to rework the recruitment and building mechanics a bit. Instead of seven different creatures with two upgrades, there will be four or five identical but independent creatures (let's call them recruits) with various development options (I've calculated about twenty-five combinations of armor/weapon for each creature). You can improve creatures in different ways by building armories, training grounds in the city, or by finding certain artifacts, etc., i.e., by giving them different weapons and equipping them with armor, which will determine their combat properties. So, essentially, the core of the army will be different versions of stormtroopers. One slot for a special "hero" creature, i.e., the hero participates in the battle; it would be sad if, for example, Vader just stood on the sidelines in the Star Wars setting. And one or two slots for an AT-ST walker or heavy equipment.
In addition, I plan to remove the number of creatures in stacks altogether; each slot will have one creature. A defeated creature will be restored after the battle if there is a special artifact-medkit in the inventory, but of course, the medkit will be lost. Medkits will again be provided by a specific building in the city.
Right now, I'm thinking that, most likely, in addition to the Tantive IV map (Leia's ship from the beginning of Episode IV), several original small (for two players) multiplayer maps from Heroes 5 will be adapted to the Star Wars setting. So, there will probably be some neutral creatures corresponding to the Star Wars universe.
As for Luke, Solo, and others, please be patient; I'm doing all this alone for now. Let's do things in order. I mean, we could make everything all at once, but it would look terrible, with flaws sticking out everywhere. Or, we can make a little, but make it well and good, and then, who knows, maybe we'll get to more later. I'm in favor of the second option. So, for the first version (which, by the way, is still unknown when it will be), don't expect a lot of content.
