Horizon of Darkness Auto-translated

- By the way, Kalimor, I had an idea. What if we find intelligent sheaths for you? Would it be inappropriate if you went inside them?

"Oh, these mortals and their twisted imaginations! If my blade pierces someone's chest, is that also considered something indecent? Not at all, I will be used for my intended purpose. Just as the scabbard will be used for its purpose. Unless these scabbards, in their lifetime, were some kind of pervert with the sick imagination that is typical of you organics."

- Do you have any mole dishes? - Zeikin was so focused on browsing the menu that this time he didn't bother responding to the voice from the container.

- Do you prefer sheaths that prioritize aesthetics or practicality?

"I prefer not to cut corners and take the best from both worlds. Fortunately, the nature of the blade allows for this, which I cannot say about the clothes you mortals favor. But what are you asking about?"

- Thank you, I don't feel like eating anymore, - Nikta muttered to herself.

"I don't even need a place. I can just stand over your bed and stare at you. All. Night."

-- Whatever you want, your golem will resonate perfectly with my night...
-- Henry, spare me this! It's awful! Just awful!

You're clearly not familiar with the capabilities of our race. I can tell you about

*Mute*

- Yeah, just like that. I strengthen the bonds of friendship with team members... We called it small talk. By the way, I wonder if there's something like nail polish, but for steel, for swords? We could paint you with some flowers and butterflies on the blade and all that.

"I have no idea what 'nail polish' is, but when it comes to decoration, there are many different options for swords. You can engrave a pattern or inscription on the blade, for example. And there are even more options for the hilt. More than for a person, I would say. At least, I haven't met any people yet who are still alive and have precious stones inlaid on them. But it has happened with the dead."

- Hmm, yes, a sapphire in a sword hilt is more aesthetically pleasing than a sapphire in earrings, for example... Or in a ring on a finger or in a belly button piercing... Although inscriptions with patterns do look better on a sword blade than tattoos on a person. I've never liked them.

"I considered your jewelry more as something similar to a scabbard. But if you look at it from that angle, I suppose it has its advantages. Earrings are easy to remove, but things get more complicated with stones. And if it breaks or a stone falls out, you'll immediately want to get to a workshop and fix it as soon as possible. Otherwise, you won't even be able to hide it properly in a scabbard – the hilt will stick out."

- Well, if we get rich and find someone qualified, we'll buy you some cool sheaths and get you some work on embellishments. - Lin addresses the whole team. - So, we split into groups and work separately until evening, then we meet here and exchange information. Radik and Arochka are with me. Henrik, Joshik, and Nika are together. Holodets and Kalimorka are with Bobo. Everyone has maps and pockets, right?

- I apologize, commander, but I'd like to point something out. Our one-legged friend is quite a... striking individual. Due to his powerful aura, I might miss an important trail left by a less potent source of scent. Perhaps it would be best to pair me with someone less impressive.
"Or maybe he should just take a bath already."

I don't know, maybe there isn't a friendly fire mechanic in the tavern, but at least in terms of roleplaying, it makes sense.

- Ah... so that's how it works, huh? - Lin surveyed the group. - Alright, who here smells the least? ... Let them switch places with Kalimor.

“Yes, as you command, Captain,” Joe said indifferently, waving his hook. He seemed more interested in the prospect of a drink than in the idea of scouting. “Just need to rest my leg for a bit…”
