I've now created a map for Enroth. It's not yet balanced; winning as Enroth is much more difficult than, for example, playing as Crag Hack. However, this isn't due to the small number of castles, but rather because enemies attack from almost all directions. People, please provide feedback.

I made a map. Heroes version: The Shadow of Death. Size: L Type: story-driven, for single-player. I would like to hear your opinions about it. The map has already been tested by several people and was deemed playable. But it is quite possible that there are still some bugs and balance issues, so I am waiting for criticism. In short, about the scenario. The map was created with an emphasis on making it interesting to explore, and I also tried to add a plot (not a serious one), so there will be many events, dialogues, quests, and other RPG elements. The editor does not always allow you to structure the plot as a linear one, and I did not want to restrict freedom with a large number of question towers, so some plot tasks are given in text form, that is, you can either complete them or ignore them, but in the second case, I cannot guarantee that you will enjoy the story. I will immediately warn you that people unfamiliar with the Canenghem universe will not understand many things. I tried to explain some things to those who are familiar with it from Heroes 3, but it is still not possible everywhere. Well, if you still have the discs with the cherished M&M symbol and the numbers 6-8 on the shelf next to Heroes, then the map was made for you. FINAL VERSION (for now) 1.3.2.

And what is that swampy area between Bracadia and Erathia on the Antagarich map? And aren't there too few objects? The map looks a bit empty.

No, it's where the blue city is located. That is, it's part of Erathia, I think, and the swamps are either the author's invention or not.

On the Antagarich map that I downloaded, there's an area marked as "Barrow downs." Judging by the color used to depict this area, it seems to be a swamp.

There are no swamps there, only hills and burial mounds.

I'm uploading the third version of the map. Here's a list of the main changes:
1. Several new dungeons have been added.
2. Two neutral castles (Barbarian and Necromancer) have been added in the new dungeons.
3. Quests to find artifacts have been added.
4. Two small islands have been added near Tatalia.
5. The number of lootable objects on the map has been increased.

I started playing as Castle. Immediately, the lack of roads and the extremely low density of the area became apparent. Everything looks very empty and bleak. I went straight to the dungeon, and there were 3 empty Pandora's boxes! Moreover, the one on the far right can be taken without breaking through the guards, just like the boots. I didn't continue playing...

Oops... I thought the contents of the chest would be determined randomly.

Modified the Antagarich map. Defined the chests, added objects, and created roads. Changed the landscape in the south of Erathia.

By the way, is it impossible for a Necromancer to approach one of the Vampire spawners? Is this intentional? Also, I didn't notice any garrisons on the map, although they could be used quite effectively...

The map still feels a bit empty. There aren't enough mines or various treasure locations. For example, it's unclear how to earn enough money in Erathia to build even half of the castles... And in general, it's initially difficult to achieve any kind of balance of power on the map.

I apologize to the map author, but I made some minor changes. Basically, nothing significant was added; I just added a few small bushes and stones, although it's almost unnoticeable. I also scattered a few chests and other items in the sea. And I added roads, starting with a simple road from the castle to a mine, and then I decided to connect everything with roads. So, take a look.
P.S. I didn't add roads near the Cyclops and the Deity; I think there's just no room for them. Looking at it now, it seems like it might even be impossible to pass through there during the game.

Version 1.0.1. A huge number of stylistic and grammatical errors have been fixed. "Dialogues" have been revised. A new message has been added. A cosmetic change has been made to the landscape.

Wow, this is a very beautiful map, I like it, I need to play it. By the way, did you intentionally make a lot of objects on the map inaccessible? I just captured the green castle, and it lost. There's a keymaster's tent next to the castle, and it's impossible to get to it. Was this done on purpose?
