I use Guardian Sanctuary in combination with Pain and Despair. Either it doesn't work, or it's just very bad.
Well, if you place a ward on Lucy... After all, the point of wards is more to make it harder for the opponent to destroy such important cards on the board, rather than just to prevent the enemy from reaching the leader.
Especially in the latter. When you put Satan down and every turn you get 13-13 Ward units and 8-8 Charge Ward units, while the pure strength of the Apocalypse deck, based on Ward units, doesn't give your opponents a chance to quickly finish your heroes and avoid getting destroyed by Satan.

I was thinking of trying Noxious in Discard decks, but I never got around to it.
And that's a good thing. You discard a Dragon, it appears on the board, and this nasty creature immediately destroys it. And there are many other places where that can happen.
