I don’t envy you traveling in such a dubious company, ha-ha-ha!” He said this with a friendly smile on his face, and then, noticing Jalid, he said with some disdain, looking at his katana, “vulture.”
“Ryuji!” The second Taoist called out to his comrade, and then turned to the squad. “Please accept my apologies for my companion’s inappropriate behavior.” He bowed respectfully. “We should leave now; all the best.”
“That was rude and unnecessary, Ryuji,” noted the second Taoist as they had already turned their backs to Crimson Dawn and started walking away.
“The Ninsharr scum doesn’t deserve our respect. You are too soft.”

Once in the port of Ilthan, Beatrice realized that earning money in the first few hours of her stay in the new city wasn't going to be easy, and not every minute did people break their arms and legs. In the few hours she spent there, only a poor old man with lung problems caused by a tobacco addiction approached her for help, and he didn't have enough money for regular treatment. He thanked her with a modest sum of 20 gold.
