During the journey to Ilthan, Jalid managed to get to know everyone, although he didn't quite connect with Ade Ore, but that was more of a general issue rather than a specific problem with the Ninsharr. He communicated the most with Osama, perhaps due to some similar views on life, or maybe because he reminded him of Taosia and happier times.
When they arrived in Ilthan, everyone decided to temporarily split up and wander around the city. Jalid was here for the first time, so he decided to go with his Taosian friend and two other members of the squad.
