In the second part, the music is the best and most atmospheric :) I even replaced the music in the third game with it. Playing with the music turned off and listening to metal or something else is a perversion. The atmosphere is lost.

In the fourth game, the music is terribly annoying!!! Especially in the cities of Chaos and Life. These chants are awful and grate on the ears.

In the fifth game, the music is good, but not perfect. It's acceptable.

I like the music in Heroes of Might and Magic III the most.
The music in the Elven Castle is calm and soothing.
The music in the Barbarian Castle is uplifting and boosts morale.)))

I don't like the music in Heroes of Might and Magic IV and V very much, and I don't remember the music in Heroes of Might and Magic II and I.

But mostly, I play with my own music, except for Heroes of Might and Magic V (it causes lag) =)))

In all parts, the music is great, but in the 5th part, it's even better during battles or castle sieges. As for attacks, if we're talking only about battles within castles, then it's definitely better in the 3rd part.

I really like the music in Heroes IV, especially the one that plays during battles (Combat_Theme_1, I think). But overall, all the Heroes games have great music! :smile26:

Well, the music in the third part is really great... and in general, I almost never mute the game and play Winamp... :) and nothing gets annoying.

I prefer the battle themes from the 4th and 5th installments (especially the castle siege theme), as well as one of the themes from the 3rd installment (combat02). But the in-game themes are most interesting in the 2nd and 3rd installments. I haven't played the 2nd game, but I did find the music separately.

Yes, the music in the third game is the best, but I listen to it through Windows Media.

The music in Heroes 3 is also great! ;) In the 3rd game, I like COMBAT02, 03, 04, and also the Castle and Barbarian themes! :smile13:

I agree about the other melodies. I played Heroes 5 a little, but nothing really stood out or was memorable.
P.S.: As for the player, does it really matter?

In my opinion, the best music of all the games is in the third installment. But even in the third game, it gets repetitive quickly, and I put on my own music to suit my mood.

The music from the second, third, and fourth games is very different, and therefore each one is good in its own way. When you get tired of one, you start to like another. So, choosing one over the others would be wrong.
As for the fifth game, I don't think it's very good.

The music in Heroes 3 is incredibly beautiful. All of it. I especially like the music from Stronghold and Fortress, WinScenario, and several themes from the campaigns. I have CampainMusic06 set as my phone's ringtone.
But my favorite is the main menu theme.

Any music from the Heroes series, whether it's from I, II, III, IV, or V, has its own "charm" that allows us to immerse ourselves more deeply in the gameplay: it enhances the feeling of the fantasy world, makes our favorite moments in the game more engaging (everyone has their own), adds a sense of epicness, and also instills in a person the desire to return to that world that they rule and can call their own. When a person becomes truly engrossed in this game, they can start listening to other music, from Rammstein and Prodigy to Beethoven and Mozart. But the music they heard for the first time while playing Heroes of Might and Magic will remain in their memory forever and will continue to be a part of the world in which the game takes place, even if they turn it off and listen to their own music.

Undoubtedly, the best music was in the fourth installment. Even though it's the part I like the least.
