But if it's not a single-player game, but a campaign, the situation changes drastically. I personally prefer campaigns or huge scenarios. Small maps don't seem interesting to me. You can't level up your hero there, and you don't even have time to enjoy the game.

But campaigns are a must-play.
I don't like large scenarios because the game can turn into a boring grind – it's called "find a companion."
But campaigns are meant to be that way :)
And scenarios can be much more interesting than campaigns. Because in a campaign, you have to start each mission from scratch, only with a leveled-up hero and that's it. It's tedious to play through campaigns:) IMHO.
I disagree with you. If a campaign has an interesting plot, it can be very enjoyable to play.
Small maps are good for playing against an opponent online. When you have the opportunity, you should try it, and I think you'll get hooked.
No, I still won't get into it. I don't even like playing small maps over a network... I like big maps and Campaigns. There's room to maneuver and try out different tactics. I especially like interesting quests.

Well, Campaigns can be different. Even chasing the computer can be interesting. For example, even though pirated versions are criticized, the campaign for King Arthur was interesting. In one mission (I think it was the 3rd), the opponents were unrealistically strong. Especially the last Barbarian, imprisoned on an island.
And from recent impressions about maps, I also liked the Tournament map. It's just fun to play it. Here's an example of a good single-player map.
The first map, and you level up like crazy. The next maps, even at the beginning of the game, when I only have 1 hero. My army's level is through the roof (in the Thieves' Guild). And I just wander around and clear the map.
I haven't had that happen in a long time... I'm even starting to miss it, I'd like to clear something too :) But all I do is try to figure out how to avoid getting ambushed around a corner :(
Do whatever you want, but there's nothing better than level 3! I've said it before, and I'll say it again... A Tower is good, but level 3 units are the real game-changers ("dark horses").
Exactly. Even if you manage to build a level 4 structure, firstly, you periodically encounter money problems; secondly, it's also difficult to accumulate units.
although there are exceptions (champions, weirdos, and storm riders). Their price is quite reasonable...

I agree about the price. But I'll add something about champions... I wouldn't even pay that much for them, because they aren't even worth it and don't justify their cost. Maybe only for duels against the AI on the apprentice level.

P.S. Don't judge me too harshly. :smile29:
P.S.2 I think I know who the Champs are.
