Posts from Technical implementation.
1. the number of units is determined randomly... based on criteria (morale, the number of units the hero has, the size of his army, the type of creatures... and others)
2. the "Silent Stalker" ability already allows you to gauge the creatures' disposition...
therefore, I don't see the point of such a mod (no offense)...
but if the mod increases the maximum number of neutral units from 4 to 6-7 and changes the rules and conditions for dividing the neutrals, then it will be more useful (especially from a gameplay perspective)...
by the way, it would be useful to change the principle of upgrading neutrals... (for example, allowing both grades to participate in the battle)
what is unclear? I will be happy to clarify...

*the idea is interesting, but it requires some refinement...
*to create the mod, you will have to delve into the root files and archives...
1. The number of units is determined randomly, based on certain criteria (morale, the number of units the hero has, the size of their army, the type of creatures, and others).
1. Neutral army strength = Creature strength * Number of creatures
2. Hero's army strength = Sum of unit strengths (Creature strength * Number of creatures * Luck coefficient * Morale coefficient * Artifacts initiative coefficient).
The only unknown is the number of creatures in the neutral army. If there is scouting, then everything is fine; if not, you have to take a range of creatures.
2. Silent Hunter already allows you to find out the creatures' disposition...
therefore, I don't see the point of such a mod (no offense).
In the latter case, they may join, or they may want to fight. I want to know the chance of them joining.

*I realized about the pursuer myself, a day after writing it (I was testing it on the testing ground).
