Instead of putting it in text form, they even made a voiceover for the remake, featuring some Mexican guy with a strong accent. I struggled to understand the meaning of his words, but here's what I gathered. The video is poorly made. There's no structure, and it lacks substance. It's too drawn out; they can go to hell. I'm still hoping that the remake won't be a disappointment, but even the official video suggests that my hopes are unlikely to be fulfilled.

Well, I don't know. I'm not too picky about the graphics (although everyone who watches me play exclaims in horror, "what is this Tetris?!!!!"). The font is annoying...

At 32:50, look at how the font changes... I didn't bother watching any further. Even me, who values gameplay 10 times more than graphics, this just killed it...

Not only the font has changed. I had the feeling that they switched to the first HD mod, because everything started to look like it.

The new main menu deserves special praise. The artists deserve to be acquainted with the Holy Inquisition for the fire on the archangel's sword.

I finally managed to watch this video from Twitch. The downsides: As expected, there is no map generator. In the campaigns, you still can't choose the difficulty level; you have to play on the easiest setting... Everything related to video, intro, campaigns, and a hero's death in the game remains unchanged. They kill our beautiful hero with great graphics and then show a beautiful picture, beautiful faces of the winner and the defeated, and the pixelated video looks pathetic against all of this. And they write that the spacebar doesn't work. That's what comes to mind immediately. As for the pluses: it's still nice to look at the faces of the heroes, the army, although the hives are disgusting, but overall the picture is pleasant, and I saw 40 germlings at the start for the Tower, not 70. The third heroes arrive without an army, with only one unit, and they say the balance is taken from the later stages, which means the cons are also normal. And yes, they did an elementary thing that Ubisoft didn't do; the people themselves did it, as they write on Steam: take the generator files from Armageddon's Blade and put them into the Steam version of Erathia, and the generator will work :D

If the standard generator from Heroes of Might and Magic III can be implemented, then I hope many features from the HD mod can also be added. If Baratortch manages to do this (and finish the game, even though Ubisoft is involved :mad: ), then it will make sense to buy it on Steam with a 75% discount, and send the rest of the money to Baratortch's wallet!

Trying to trigger the generator's appearance didn't work, neither with the standard SoD method (5 files from AB) nor by copying all the files.

No, this is not related. The generator "works" (if it works) simply because it's already there, and Ubisoft didn't even realize it. The HD mod needs to be specifically rewritten to work with it. Regarding bugs and gameplay, it seems to be some kind of later RoE version, like 1.4. From what I've seen: In the SoD style: - Stacks arrive as in SoD, heroes with single units too. - Consumables are normal. - No double-casting found. In the Hive style: - Visiting objects with the spacebar doesn't work. - Artifacts may have conditions for picking them up (e.g., require paying money, otherwise you can't pick up the artifact). - When upgrading a creature, you can no longer hire the non-upgraded version. - Upgraded flies don't cast Weakness. - Upgraded lizards have "8-2" damage (yes, lol, exactly in that order; and in battle, it actually acts as "8" damage with no variance) (this is, however, a bug only in the Russian version - in the English version, it has the normal SoD damage of 2-5)
