Nothing has ground to a halt. I'll explain the reasons:
- there's no point in running two tournaments simultaneously;
- we'll open the tournament shortly before the consolation Cup ends.

It's been a while, so yes! I suggest we don't change anything:
Each team will have 1 captain and ???? players. The captain of each team will be determined by the tournament judges. The remaining players will be divided into tiers based on their skill level. After that, a random draw will be held to assign players to specific teams. That is, in each team, the players will be arranged in reverse order of their skill and rating.

We haven't had thematic tournaments in a while, like "Might and Magic," "Good vs. Evil," etc.
Maybe we should consider something along those lines? What makes team play appealing? Unfortunately, tournaments on our resources tend to lack teams with a consistent roster. In such conditions, players primarily defend their own interests rather than the team's.
And there are no teams with a fixed name. In that case, any player on the team could contribute to the team's history with each victory, thus writing their own names into the team's history. This could create a history of team online tournaments on HW. :)
Or, continuing the idea of chronicling online tournaments, we could create 8 teams based on races (dwarves, elves, dungeon...) and hold such a tournament at least once a year (or even more often). Then, we could see which team (race) wins more often and which less. And then, there might be an interest in bringing the least successful team to the top by practicing with that race and preparing for the tournament.
In general, feel free to share your ideas, don't hesitate. We're doing this for ourselves (and for future generations:) )

You could try playing a tournament using bridge tournament rules – each team plays the same map, but switches sides against the other team. This would result in two 2-on-2 matches. In this case, you would need teams of two people. For example, Killa and I could be on team A, and Theoretik and Alijvit could be on team B – I would play the map as red against Alijvit, and Killa would play the same map as blue against Theoretik. If red (or blue) wins both matches, it would be a tiebreaker.
