Posts from "Crusade" Tournament (Spring 2014)
Took a break on day 113 after hitting a dead end. Despite having a good group of archers and decent boots, I didn't want to run around the wilderness looking for exits, as that would only benefit Gunnar. For Blue to win, an early rush was needed. But the next generation turned out to be even more depressing. The path to my home computer lay through the center, and, as is usually the case in a no-rest situation, I didn't get any archers at the start. The center was postponed until the second week, and my warriors went to look for a path to the computer through the adjacent territories via the wilderness. I broke through to Inferno through a neighboring territory, but the route through the lava was so long that I decided to turn around and go through another territory, where I also found a path through the wilderness. After marching my troops to another part of the map, I saw the winding path through the lava again with an unknown ending and decided to wait for the second week and go to the center. On the second day, Red brought the good news of a surrender in the Naga Bank.

Galtran arrived, found a fur coat on the adjacent zone. Reached the center on turn 126, gathered 700 skeletons and 50+ vampires in a week. The opponent arrived, spawned home, followed by a surrender. Everything there was even more sad, and the topology was frankly quite complex. Thank you for the game!

The opponent restarted two Inferno castles, but in the end, he surrendered the Citadel, and I had a Moon, two Goblin hideouts, billions of gold, and decent artifacts. On turn 122, I was planning to break through to two Tier 3 castles, but I received news that he had surrendered. The only path led through the Grand Wizards, and apparently, the Consort-level wizard didn't give up. Thanks for the game.
Don't forget to confirm your reports; it's easy to do on the first page of the tournament. (cuc9ctblu has an unconfirmed report.)
Group 5 joined the tournament a little later, but I hope they will catch up with the others and not become a headache for the organizer.
The 3rd round of the tournament ends on April 22nd.
Thanks for the game!
There was also 111 but I started playing, on the second one the Griffin Conservatory is visible built. On the first one 12346, I couldn't break through to the secondary — blocks of 50+ archers, 20+ ice elementals and 10+ nagas for a +5 cap, an external dwelling of lizardmen. On the second one I built 123467, in the castle I took a Conflux secondary, a very long road. On 131 Griffin Conservatory 1, on 132 Griffin Conservatory 3, on 134 I take a double through nagas. On 135 the opponent writes GG.
Thanks for the game!
Nwcwyverns vs nwcangels. Broke 124 with last step then went ofroad in desert with no pf, but at least found one good tope that gave me superior stats. Next day opponent comes with dd and 20 angels and picks up wings. I had 48 monarcs and 3 angels and decided to put on shackles since he had DD/fly and money and I had no control. He had no armor and I had no off, but stats and better magic decided. Thanks for playing.
Thanks for the game!
On the first 12346 in the Castle, I took an external dwelling of lizards and only one second-tier unit. At the start of the second, Vistan finishes leveling Earth magic, including already in the treasure zone, then takes own observation, and there are a bunch of hives, 2 cons(3+1), 2 Dragon Utopias, a tea kettle for 5-9 archs. On 127 38 wyverns, I placed hydras and gorgons. On 131 50 wyverns and a tea kettle. On 133 60+ wyverns, I took 2 max Dragon Utopias. On 141 I took the opponent's main army. On 142 Vistan reaches Solimir. 80+ monarchs with luck wipe out Solimir's 29 wyverns. The opponent writes ГГ.

I immediately cast Implosion on the Grands. In response, I get Slow and he rushes in. On round 2, I take an Implosion on the birds — I endure it! I cast Mass Haste and crash in. In the next round, the opponent casts Implosion, taking out 14 Pegasi from my skeletons with his move. I immediately get the same number of skeletons back with Resurrection. He takes heavier losses than I do — clearly his skills were leveled worse! In round 4, I immediately resurrect the birds and cut down almost all units except for 9 Wyverns on his side. My losses: 11 Wyverns, 80 skeletons, 5 Storms, and the Firebirds. The opponent could have continued but didn't want to.
Thanks for the game
In short, what I got was that I shouldn't restart. Not only were Moneer and 3 Necromancers among the first five heroes, but the 6th hero was Galtran, with an Air external dwelling nearby. Along the way, blockers were mostly non-shooters. On day 121, I had 140 Skeletons. Killed 2 computers: native Conflux + Rampart. Wyverns were stationed in the Fort. By day 125, Skeletons were already 348. Found 3 Dragon Utopias along the road from Rampart into the treasure zone — two turned out to be small and one large. On day 132, in the second Conflux, Wyverns were already stationed in the Citadel and I started taking on the Dragon Utopias. Final stats: 18-22-27-190, 400 Skeletons, 9 Wyverns, 21 Wyverns, 7 Psychos, 53 Storms, 11 Firebirds, Tome of Earth, and a mad Galtran at level 18-19 with Attack, Defense, Logistics, Wisdom, Earth, Air, and Necromancy. I rushed to make contact. Kyrre arrives with stats 15-27-17-108.
15 upgraded Unicorns, 25 Wyverns, 2 Angels, 86 Grands, 19 Pegasi, 164 ordinary Centaurs, and a single Pegasus.
I immediately cast Implosion on the Grands. In response, I get Slowed and rushed. In round 2, I take an Implosion on the Wyverns — I endure! I cast Mass Haste and charge in. In the next round, the opponent casts Implosion thanks to the 14 speed of the Pegasi into the Skeletons, immediately gets a Resurrection for the same number of Skeletons, and hits harder than me — clearly my skills were trained worse! In round 4, I immediately resurrect the Wyverns, cutting down almost all units except for 9 Wyverns. My losses: 11 Wyverns, 80 Skeletons, 5 Storms, and Firebirds. The opponent could have continued but didn't want to.
Thanks for the game.
