I might be wrong, but as far as I know, Koreans don't consider themselves to be different peoples, whether they are from the North or the South. Different countries, but one nation. And most Ukrainians believe this, and the percentage of those who do is increasing every year, as the Soviet generation gradually fades away. As for historical examples, the first one that comes to mind is the Portuguese and the Spanish.
Let's use our imagination and picture Russia splitting along the Ural Mountains into two parts in 2018: Siberia and Moscow. And by 2030, Siberia has its own language, and every resident deeply believes in its national uniqueness and has nothing in common with those Muscovites. Moreover, China is much closer to us, and we will live better with it. Isn't that funny? Not to me; rather, it's sad.
Of course, it's sad that things have deteriorated to the point where everyone has turned away and become divided. But I certainly won't come to the stands, laugh at someone else's misfortune, and tell the Siberians how to live better and what they should do without something, just like everyone else in Moscow, and that their life and economy are doomed. Such remarks would, at the very least, not be in line with the friendly tone you speak of and rightly call for.

Leb, I don't quite understand you. What's wrong with Ukrainians wanting to be a separate nation, not a single entity with Russians, but a separate, independent nation? Why does that upset you? On the contrary, one should be happy that people are striving for national self-expression. There is no negativity towards Russians as a people. Negativity arises when someone like Grizwald, Favio, or Darkello giggles like ***(better not say) about the fact that people are being killed here and says that they deserve it. That's what's upsetting. And then those same people talk about the brotherhood of nations and other nonsense.
Ukraine is already a separate state, that's a fact. The question is whether they will become closer to the USA or Russia. It's a political issue and is being fueled more by the former!!!

All of Russia hates Moscow. Not because the people there are bad, but because 65% of the income from each region goes there. The area outside the Moscow Ring Road (Zamkadye) is all a colony of Moscow, which sucks the life out of them. As a result, the standard of living in Moscow is much higher, and everyone wants to move there. Whose merit is that? Maybe it's the State Department or the Freemasons?))

Well, Ukraine began to define itself within approximately its current borders even before the Soviet Union. In fact, yesterday we had the Day of Unity, a holiday symbolizing the national unity of the country, and it is celebrated on the day of the signing of the act of unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic in 1919, if I'm not mistaken.

You could just as easily say that all subordinates hate their superiors. Or that all of Moscow hates the Kremlin.
This is not hatred, but hierarchical relationships, which any society is built upon. Of course, there are frictions between the levels of the hierarchy, and there cannot be any without them. These frictions are especially amplified by people who believe they deserve to be on a higher level than they are.
Specifically, in the case of Russia, it has turned out that both the administrative and financial center are located in Moscow. In some other places, it is different; in the United States, for example, the administrative center is Washington, and the financial center is New York. And there is also a possible (and in many places partially implemented) situation where the administrative and financial centers are separated not territorially, but by clans.
I think that over time, the Kremlin will realize that it is better to redistribute Moscow, to move a number of government and financial institutions outside of it. This is organizationally more complex, but politically and economically more beneficial.

I don't even understand why you got involved? Everyone here thinks they're 80th-level political scientists, so it's very difficult to convince anyone of anything. And besides, everyone has their own opinion.

Good question. The origins are probably in upbringing. When I hear swearing, it makes me feel disgusted, as if someone came and deliberately soiled themselves in front of me. First, they fought side by side, then they built the country. Who would say that the Russians were trying to take over everything? Industry and infrastructure were rebuilt primarily not in such ancient cities as Kazan or Tver, but in Odessa, Kyiv, and Minsk – there was no task to enslave the people or rob them. And, I think no one would argue that no one could forcibly unclench this "fist"... The only way to break through is to unclench it. This is what perestroika, the collapse of the country, and the plundering of everything (and in each country, they were plundering themselves! not the Muscovites and others) led to, and now, as a clearly readable scenario – the fueling of interethnic discord. It's a primitive scenario, but people need everything presented in a simple way. It's very unfortunate that all of us (Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians) are Christians; otherwise, they would have clashed us long ago and forced us to cut each other's throats.
The same thing is happening in Korea – both in the north and in the south, there are Koreans, but the "pseudo-national" zombification is so strong that they are ready to kill each other, if not out of malice, then out of fear...
It's just a well-planned war... I'm sure that every sane person, after considering the situation, would do the same.
