what or who is forcing them to think this way? What are the reasons for the division? Why doesn't Siberia consider itself a separate nation? If we are talking about differences, Siberia and Moscow differ much more than Moscow and Kyiv.
Obviously, both sides become weaker because of this. The question is, who benefits from this, and the answer to why this is happening lies there.
