Excellent! Let's play using the latest mod uploaded on the league! Everyone will have equal conditions... let's leave the tears for the girls! We have 26 people, which suggests 5 teams... I think we can arrange it so that each team has six people. The tournament format will be such that not everyone plays against everyone else, but that's just a minor detail. We need 5 captains! We already have 5 people who signed up on the forum... isn't that lucky? Now we'll divide everyone and start the tournament today! And how do we start? By playing matches against each other – we are the captains, so we'll definitely be in different teams. Here is the list of captains: (please provide your Skype and create a conference – we'll draft them... we'll decide how).

Here are some thoughts:
1. It was stated that the mod would be ready in 10 days. Since the mod isn't ready, announce the latest version of 6.5.13 as the official version for the tournament.
2. Time was allocated for the draft. Those who didn't show up or didn't send their list will receive random players on their team. The captains remain the same.
3. If there isn't enough time, maybe assign an assistant judge. (The judges and special judges mentioned in the topic header are gone anyway). Occasionally monitor and give warnings for judge misconduct. :)
4. It would be nice to give the players the weekend off.

What don't you like about my idea?

Do you think the guys from the top league (Dmitry, Mozych, Exzu, Adv (didn't play, but I really hope to fill this gap), and especially Vilu) wouldn't be happy to learn that the tournament has started, and their teams are already set, so they don't have to worry – it's a great idea! I'm telling you!

The idea is good, but it seems a bit too spontaneous, like "I want it, so I'll do it," although I understand that with each passing day, the desire to participate is decreasing...
Still, since KillAndAction organized the tournament, he should be the one to put the final touches on the organization. We just need to "gently nudge" him to get the process going :)

You're right, it would be great if the process could move forward! Okay, I live in Estonia, but even I'm getting tired of the pace at which we're progressing. Spontaneity is exactly what we need here! And it's a very carefully calculated spontaneity! The idea is that the team captains will be active participants... That's a given, given our current situation. The team selection will also be objective, no matter who does it; the participant pools are already defined, and in the Champions League (which is practically a billion-dollar project), everything is decided by a draw!

The captains were chosen based on skill! And the distribution of the Theoretician was quite even, so it can be accepted! Choosing captains spontaneously is still not the right approach, in my opinion! Although I want to start playing already, balanced teams are more important for a good tournament.
Alex, since you're the only active judge, approve the groups or distribute them yourself, and let's begin!

The groups will be balanced – first, we’ll divide the first group, then whoever drew the first number will go first in the second group, and so on.

Let's wait for Alex; maybe he'll assign participants or approve one of the options soon. Alex promised to sort it out today – we're waiting.

During the draft, the team captains will distribute the participants. Otherwise, what's the point of a team tournament?

the point is to have balanced teams, and the way they are formed doesn't matter. We won't wait for captains; we'll play however the judge decides!
