It's better if people don't get SICK!!! But I completely agree with Agilist.
the best folk remedy is homeopathy - smear the wall with poison and then bang your head against it!

Yes... That's true. But there are situations when you get sick, and then... I had one case. I got lichen. Dermatologists sent me to other doctors and prescribed some nonsense. Nothing helped. But my father found an advertisement for a grandmother who was a folk healer in the newspaper. We went there, and she prescribed herbs to drink and apply topically. After a week, there was no trace of it.
On the other hand, I don't understand people who treat every sniffle with pills. All these chemical concoctions like Coldrex are unnecessary; they can be successfully replaced with warm milk with honey or a mustard plaster.:cool:
By the way, regarding grandmothers who are folk healers: lichen is visible to the naked eye, but many diseases require tests or special examinations for their diagnosis: X-rays, ultrasound, electroencephalograms, tomography, etc. You have to agree that it is impossible to detect a hormonal imbalance by simply looking intently into someone's eyes...:smile48:
But in general, I think pharmaceuticals are better... because I trust them.
Antibiotics also kill beneficial bacteria. My dad spent six months restoring his stomach flora after being treated for some illness with antibiotics.
a) will never prescribe antibiotics without necessity;
b) will prescribe a drug to restore the flora of the stomach and intestines in conjunction with antibiotics.
Instead of antibiotics, antimicrobial drugs can be prescribed, but many doctors follow this path: let's use "heavy artillery," and then let the patient deal with the problems... But this is not a problem of medicines and chemistry, but of our poorly paid doctors, who don't care.
You can dislike medicines, but you can't ignore the facts: modern medicine has found ways to cure many diseases that were considered fatal in the last century. For example, most of them are saved by the much-disliked vaccinations. And no matter how you look at it, you can't make a measles or flu vaccine with folk remedies.
