Here's the issue: I have Gameranger installed, and we've tried all versions of Heroes, including 3.2 HD and the standard versions, as well as 4.0 and Complete... My friend and I have tried all versions, but we can't connect to each other's games. It works fine for him; everyone can connect to his game, and he can connect to everyone else's. In my case, it's the complete opposite; no one can connect to me, and I can't connect to anyone!
When the host in the room clicks "Start," Heroes opens on my end, and I see the game's splash screen and an hourglass, but there are no icons like "New Game" or anything else. People see the same thing when they try to connect to my game when I'm the host!
I've already checked the firewall and antivirus, but nothing helps!
Please suggest a solution if you know what's going on!

Ah, of course. If you're playing Heroes of Might and Magic in online multiplayer, disable Hamachi and whatever else you have installed.
Also, be sure to set network priority. Again, in the network settings, press Alt or Shift (I don't remember exactly, I hate Heroes 7) and in the properties - advanced settings, put the desired setting at the very top. It worked through Hamachi... but the game still doesn't want to connect...
It worked through Hamachi when I put the file in the DPWSOCKX.DLL folder.
