A spell is any active ability from the spellbook that affects someone. Counterspell (SPELL_ABILITY_COUNTERSPELL - the developers' original name) is one of them, as are summons, etc. It is also a perk. The problem with Vincent's biography is that the player already needs to know that Godric is the Duke of the Unicorns (I didn't know or forgot, which is why this happened) - this is the downside ;)

He will partially resemble Warlocks. Maybe a hooded robe would be suitable. Here, Melchior looks like a Chaos Knight (the color of Chaos is red).

Balthazar is very similar to Kaspar. And it's not even about confusing them; there shouldn't be such similar heroes; it's not aesthetically pleasing. And his icon is unlikely to be suitable for an inquisitor either.
