01/08/2013 23:11:34, Dirty_Player: Personally, I think this is a bug, and a serious one. It should definitely be banned. However, since there was no ban yet, I believe we used it completely LEGALLY. That's my position.
Could you tell me... does the SoD have a rule that using bugs is prohibited, and isn't there such a rule in WoG?
Further on, there's a list of specific bugs, and the double-hex berserk doesn't fall into that category due to its exclusivity. This is the position of the respected opponents – everything is allowed that isn't prohibited. Although now, due to the topic that has arisen, it will probably be clarified somehow, or it will be possible to fix it, which would be good – before, blind casting somehow worked against superstacks, but now berserk is turning into practically an absolute weapon :D

From the regulations governing the AK’s activities:
In case one of the members of the AK has a direct connection to the issue at hand (is an interested party), they will not participate in the discussion and decision-making regarding this dispute.
If the situation is brought before the AK, Dirty_Player will not participate. This tournament is not official. The AK can consider the matter upon mutual request from the players, but then the AK's decision will be binding on both parties, regardless of whether it is in their favor. HellLighT
If the AK recognizes all actions as legitimate and validates the result, I will withdraw from the tournament; my teammate supports me in this endeavor...
A strange statement. Why even appeal to the AK then? Either the parties agree to accept the decision as is, fulfill it, and continue the tournament, or the matter will not be considered by the AK at all. You can withdraw without a decision from the AK. wowa
as for the AK, it wasn't my idea although initially, I thought that everything happened accidentally with our respected opponents so I didn't worry much, things happen but if this was intentional, then there is a clear case of exploiting game bugs, albeit unrecorded ones but in this context, it is more a question of ethics than the tournament result
Ethical issues are outside the scope of the AK’s authority.
PS.Javdet
There was a controversial moment with the finalist of the last Moscow tournament when he demanded that the game result be canceled because he did not know about the properties of one-sided creatures in Might and Magic. If he didn't know, well, who would have guessed.
Since there were two finalists, let me clarify that this does not refer to me. Such a thing wouldn't even occur to me. And the other finalist constantly has problems with cancellations and technical results. Who would have guessed?
so even Berserk was designed with the assumption that players wouldn't know about it. And without it, if there were options in that battle for the red player, what were they? It would be good to provide justification for such categorical statements, or not?
Nonsense, Alex has already written everything about the Facebook post. The fact that you still don't understand how the battle would have been lost without the bugged Berserk is not my problem; it only highlights the absurdity of your disrespectful behavior towards opponents and organizers, and even the participants of the tournament in general. Even if there hadn't been a win, you had no right to behave that way, in my opinion, and with this, it just becomes a farce.
I'll write a plan later, but for now, I'll see who else sees it.
I disagree. From a rules perspective, everything is fine, but winning by exploiting a bug that few people know about (this isn't infinite ammo or viewing the opponent's castle garrison) is unsportsmanlike. And shouting on stream about how awesome it was is just facepalm-worthy.
But what would your reaction be in that situation? Especially after those "nice" comments about bluffing or not bluffing? I doubt you would react so calmly.
With a fresh perspective, the situation looks even clearer and more straightforward; in my opinion, there's nothing to discuss here.
"Это нам идеально подходит!" [Новосибирск, 2013] "Красавчик! Если только не читер.." [Киев, 2014] "Это Вам не шутки - нажрался Dust в маршрутке" [Новокузнецк, 2015] Сам ты фиш (с) :D

I'll write a plan later, but for now, I'll see who else is even looking at it.
write, write, we'll read it))) because Alex wrote, albeit eloquently, but in terms of the plan, berserk + frenzy is not clear he's right about anti-magic on the Viv, unfortunately, I couldn't adequately follow the battle :( there was berserk on the Viv from the opponents anyway, regarding frenzy -- at what specific moment? if berserk works correctly, i.e., for 1 round, then casting berserk + frenzy takes as long as 2 rounds, during which time a lot can be done, in particular, the damage to the Archons from Imps is comparable, if not greater, than the damage to the Monarchs from them, and we shouldn't forget about the +3 morale for the Viv)) so the calculation was only on a buggy berserk, but even without it, frenzy wasn't needed :)
and the invasion of the Castle's respawn on turn 116 was also considered; Alex is absolutely right about this))
and regarding the disrespectful attitude towards opponents (who are also organizers))) -- I can't stop laughing :smile11: do you even read the posts before writing here? or is it that calling them "respected" is a repeatedly occurring typo? :D :D the opponents themselves do not deny that they used a bug, considering themselves entitled to do so! I agree with this, what else? they know the game inside and out, they know how to apply it in practice, which, without any reservations, deserves respect, and the controversial moments are just a matter of personal preference))) and it's up to AK to somehow fix these controversial moments, because now everyone knows about them, which, of course, can introduce some additional imbalance into the gameplay and you're telling me to sit here and not write, even though in all my posts I'm just trying to clarify the situation, which, by the way, is also unclear to the viewers -- should they not be respected? if my teammate decided to withdraw, then the tournament is also over for me, I can't play alone anymore, so I should be indifferent! which is what it was after the game, but when all sorts of nonsense is written here, I have to respond :)
"...the personal strengths and weaknesses of a leader are no true indication of the merits of his cause"
Dirty and LeBron are great! They won thanks to their skill! Hell played the front battle very poorly, and it's understandable that it's frustrating to lose like that, especially when morale is low, but the fact remains! After watching everything, I didn't understand one thing; maybe someone can explain it to me: the rules state: Forbidden magic: Water magic, Visions, Air and Earth Scrying. So, what is not allowed? The Water Magic skill itself, or all Water Magic spells?
I haven't had a chance to watch the battle yet, but I'll add my two cents: p I have a negative attitude towards the intentional use of various bugs and glitches, but I also understand that anything not prohibited is allowed. There are well-known glitches: propping up gates, ballista arrows, etc., and there are also less known ones, such as this one with the Berserker. In St. Petersburg, about 8 years ago, there was an episode that upset many people when one of the participants, during the final battle, went to another computer and simulated a similar situation to test some ability. Nowadays, dozens of programs are being created to simplify the player's life, and therefore I believe that protesting the result of a lost game, even because of a bug, is somehow... silly.
Water magic is magic that is in one way or another connected to water objects and bodies of water. In the game, all boat summoning/drowning spells and the ability to walk on water have been removed to avoid cluttering the game with unnecessary spells.
2wowa: Overall, I was naturally rooting for your team, not for you specifically, although it seems like you could have explained to Hellight that he was wrong and in what way.
Regarding the battle: I immediately saw the winning strategy after the implosion into the Arcomage, and sorry, but your smileys, to put it mildly, seem excessive.

after the archers were deployed, the battle was already decided, with no other outcome possible.
and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Some believe that the buggy Berserker is usable, as long as it's not explicitly prohibited in the rules, even though they are strongly against banning its use. My teammate believes that it's a violation, and that's understandable too. My opinion is that the situation has become controversial, but the consequences should only be drawn for the benefit of the game. As for how my smileys look, that's his personal business:cool:
"...the personal strengths and weaknesses of a leader are no true indication of the merits of his cause"
You can change the quote. The point of my post is that Vivy gets stuck in a loop without bug fixes because of how you manage the Facebook page!! Isn't that clear yet??
Even after watching the first round, it became clear that if anti-magic isn't used against the monarchs, the battle will be lost due to Berserk and Frenzy! The two-tile feature is well-known, as are the features of the Black Orb, which cause Berserk, Blind, and other effects on Necromancers, as well as Armageddon on immune units! If you don't know some of the subtleties of the game and can't choose the best way to conduct the battle, that's the problem of the losing side. Don't belittle yourself and blame others for your own shortcomings, especially for simply not knowing these subtleties! Use anti-magic in the 3rd round, and there will be no problems with Berserk and other nonsense! All this whining about 53 vivas against 115 for Gosh and other nonsense is a lack of respect for yourselves! Go to Castle 117 and kill those stupid angels before they become Archangels, and that's it! If you can't capitalize on your advantages, blame yourselves!
Another serious mistake is not taking snakes for the final battle.
LeBron
Well, what would your reaction be in such a situation? Especially after those "sweet" remarks about bluffing/not bluffing? I doubt you would react that way.
Yes, expressing your joy in that way was not entirely appropriate.
Since the outcome of the game was decided by the random number generator, complete the victory in a civilized manner, without gloating
So, it seems the old, reliable "flamingo" strategy was what was meant for creating a loop. When a berserker-buffed monostack is moving too slowly and can't reach anyone, and the player has no control over the battle.
