I watched The Hobbit too. And I saw it in the cinema with popcorn and 3D glasses.
It was pretty good. It corresponds to the book about 40%.
Some scenes are really, really cool. And some are just awful. Overall, it's not bad.
I didn't regret going, in general.
Tomorrow holds no promises Except the ones we've made
Watched it in fancy 3D, but not IMAX. After two hours, my eyes were begging for a break. Instead of popcorn, I ate a couple of cheeseburgers. Why is it just average? Because there are NO BOOK REFERENCES. But the real issue isn't that, it's that the atmosphere is more like Lord of the Rings than The Hobbit. But The Hobbit simply doesn't allow for the same epic scale as Lord of the Rings; the works are just of different magnitudes, so that's the main flaw, in my opinion. Yes, the music is worse than in Lord of the Rings; I'd even say it's frankly boring. No, overall, they made a decent movie, but it could have been better. The blockbuster itself turned out to be a solid average, not reaching for the stars, but I'll probably rewatch it once when the Blu-ray comes out.
Because of this Hobbit, I rewatched the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I wanted to watch it all in one night, but I stopped halfway through the second movie and went to bed because I was falling asleep. I finished it today. They should have made a director's cut, because it's really better. It's over 13 hours long, though. I noticed for the first time that almost every character in the movie trilogy has long hair, except for the hobbits and one orc. Practically the entire extras cast also had long hair.

So, hobbits, in your opinion, don't have long hair?
Yeah, those are indeed "патлы." "Патлы" isn't just used to describe long hair down to the shoulders, often associated with young people interested in black metal; it also refers to hair of that length in general, and any hair longer than average, as well as hair that is messy, dirty, or unkempt.
Well, I'm not even sure if I should try it. But it probably isn't a warm and cozy place, judging by your reviews.
I watched your Hobbit too. Too many hobbits, too many dwarves. Not enough blood, warlockery, and skeletons. It's boring and not for me.
Смысла нет, но вы держитесь там. Удачи, здоровья, хорошего настроения! И пока в кармане пачка милкиуэйев - значит все не так уж плохо на сегодняшний день
Friends, I watched "The Hobbit" and was disappointed. It's Tolkien's fairy tale for younger children, a small story in terms of volume. One film is unnecessary, unlike "The Lord of the Rings," it's cheerful and not stressful. They walked around, explored, found gold, and went home.
Why remake "Thirteen Friends of Ocean in Middle-earth"? I'm not interested in the characters of the 13 dwarves; four hobbits were enough for me. I could barely distinguish Meriadoc Brandybuck from Peregrin Took until the end of the third film. And here, there are 13 dwarves, each of whom, taking advantage of the successful first trilogy, tries to win an Oscar for a supporting role. I don't care about the relationship between the fourth dwarf on the right and the third on the left; I need a plot. But there is no plot, and where would it come from? Peter Jackson doesn't want to deviate too far from Tolkien, and the original source has only about 30 pages of text.
So, the dwarves, dwarves, dwarves... and Gollum take up all the space, and they somehow need to save the plot. I think he became the main character of the film.
In conclusion, I regret wasting the money. Although all three "Lord of the Rings" films are among my favorites.
This is the entire book; I have a collector's edition. Right now, it's chapter 6 of The Hobbit, where the hobbits, dwarves, and eagles defeat the goblins and wolves. Not bad for page 116.
Mine, 346 pages in fourteenth-point font. It's unclear what it contains. Although there are books that contain abridged versions of works, and students use them to write essays.
I won't rate it a ten out of ten, oh my god, and I definitely won't put it in my list of favorite movies, but it's decent. Too bad I've already seen it.
