Well, let's see if we can figure this out despite the illness. Given Revan's style and the setting, I'll be basing my analysis on the newspaper clippings rather than role-playing.
And the very first paragraph is confusing. Darkness is only mentioned in one newspaper clipping – the Reaper's ultimate ability. If they really messed that up, it's a major failure.
Amko. It could have been one of the Sage's newspaper clippings, but it wasn't, because it was with Plagus. I see two possibilities. Blindness or a surge of blood. Overall, it seems more like the latter, because blindness disables the newspaper clipping for two nights; it's unlikely that Amko would feel better immediately. And clutching one's head isn't the same as shouting "OH NO, MY EYES!"
Nephela. Healing the Dragoness or the Healer. It could also be the Chronicler, but that doesn't make much sense. In principle, it's still the Healer, because the Dragoness would have an easier time understanding it, and the Healer doesn't have any other options.
Lizard. Well, at least here everything is obvious. Blocking the Keymaster.
Nebok. It could have been body damage, but it wasn't. It doesn't look like "SHOT IN THE KNEE" either. So, the Adept must have maimed him.
The most interesting part. The Sage damaged Plagus. Blue flame – unlikely to be the body. Soul or spirit... I don't know. Let Plagus say it himself, if it's not going to be an autopsy. Then they tried to kill the Sage. The Blade – Liathris or the stoned Raven. The Blob – probably the Sorcerer. There's no one else. Unless it's Camelia and her dragon, but there's not enough grandeur in the description.
Amko - I think it's a block or a spellcaster killer. Possibly control or a maniac assignment. Nefelu went to heal someone, more likely a doctor than a dragon slayer. Lizard was locked up by a labyrinth keeper. Sky was crippled. Someone very popular was targeted... Liathris/adept/town guard, and most likely a maniac. I don't think it was an adept. Maybe Camellia.
Something extremely unpleasant happened tonight, and no one knows what happened: for a few minutes, the entire city was shrouded in impenetrable darkness, and it disappeared just as unnoticed as it came.
That's quite something. The description is reminiscent of a reaper's ultimate ability. Sky? Cop? Tox?
Mentioning a nickname during a DEFENSIVE ultimate? That's just crazy.
Alright, let's summarize the night.
Keymaster - blocked Lizzie.
Grave Robber - no Night Defense.
Sage - damaged Plethora's spirit/soul.
Guardian - either blocked or used his second Night Defense; since there were no victims, it didn't go through.
Raven, I think, stayed home; I've stopped believing in GMs who kill in the first night.
Dragonkin - compared.
Witch - hid/checked.
No sign of the Astrologer. One of the blocked.
Chronicler - probably checked.
Healer - healed Nephele.
Reaper used his ultimate. Why? Someone from those who are often targeted by a group in the first night. Arandor, Menti, or even Drakko - these are possibilities.
Adept - crippled Nebo.
Enchanter - blocked Amka.
Leatrice killed the Sage. Why her? I think Sting was scared of Revan's simple clues and decided to eliminate the most useless role, which, moreover, is unlikely to be killed by a GM.
Sorcerer - tried to kill the Sage. Incinerate, and even Dematerialize works as an energy blast.
Revan, if the Sorcerer's intended target didn't die, will the mark be on them?
It doesn't have to be someone completely useless. It could be one of the "popular" players. For example, Tox, Ment, or Arandor. Or whoever else people often visit on the first night? In such a situation, the Mafia's move is understandable.
Sincerely,
Gur
And one more thing. Revan, if you deprive the Night Doctor/harm the target that moves after the Sage/Adept, doesn't that essentially act as a block for that night?
