If you updated the game, then it’s probably the licensed version. On the other hand, this problem existed in version 1.0, but then the duration of the black screen was reduced. So, if everything was really patched, the problem shouldn’t have occurred. Also, there’s an FAQ on the forum where this is described.
The background of the main menu depicts the entire principality/the realm of the Griffins. And this is just a separate city. It would be cool to make it like in Heroes 5, where the cities are simply stunning.
It would be great if you could enter a town and walk around, explore the town... like in RPG games... and there would be no need for separate town screens... THAT WOULD BE awesome... :smile20:

But this shouldn't prevent the developers from creating city screens with the same care and diligence. Yes, you can create a small settlement, but execute it with maximum beauty and quality. I can imagine how much it would cost to create city screens in the style of the main menu, but large projects always require significant investments; you need to maintain a high standard.
What do you mean? A principality is just a principality.
Смысла нет, но вы держитесь там. Удачи, здоровья, хорошего настроения! И пока в кармане пачка милкиуэйев - значит все не так уж плохо на сегодняшний день
I was just thinking, what's up with the graphics? They could have added more options, at least for level 4 cities. For example, create a "forge" in the city (for the Alliance of Light). "Incineration" of buildings/+damage to surviving units (for Demons) – in case an opponent captures their city. Some kind of "impregnability" – for the duration of one or two turns (for the Undead). (With their feet) they could inflict a small amount of damage on attacking enemies during the first turn of the battle, plus remove all their bonuses. And (for the city of the Unconquered Tribes), for example, reduce the movement range of the enemy during sieges and reduce their initiative with "Time Slowdown." Or something like that. All the features have been explored for a long time. Fans will soon get bored. In my opinion, it would be good to add a level 4 city in the game, protected by the deity of a specific race. And the Tear of Ashera in the city would provide special troops that would defend the city even without a hero being present. And with a hero in the city, it would become completely unprofitable to attack it. Then everything in the game would depend not only on the availability of resources and cities. Then even a less fortunate player could have a chance to win.
The winner is right; there’s also a neutral army in Heroes 6, as I noticed. It’s just not available for players to choose. It would be great if they added something new while they’re working on Heroes 7. :)
Hey everyone, does anyone know what the problem is? I've been playing Heroes 6 without any issues since its release. I last played a couple of days ago. Yesterday, I launched the game, loaded a map, and the entire screen started flickering. And now, no matter which mission I start, the screen flickers everywhere. Where could this be coming from? And what could be the problem? Please help. Could patch 1.4 have somehow affected me?
