I suggest everyone share their experiences on how they learned to play Heroes.

Personally, I first saw Heroes in an internet cafe, and to be honest, it didn't impress me. But when I brought it home and figured out what was what, where to click, and where to buy units, I started to get into it little by little... I got more and more into it, and now I'm completely hooked. I gained all my experience by playing with a friend on Hot Seat, where each of us could see the other's moves. Now I've joined my first tournament, so to speak, I've lost my innocence.

I first encountered the game in a computer club about 7 years ago, and it immediately made a strong impression. I remember when "In the Wake of Gods" was released; we all played together and tackled the most challenging maps. It's a shame that none of my acquaintances or friends play Heroes 3 anymore.

Then I went to computer clubs, played at my mom's workplace, and when I got a computer, I just sat there for days, not doing my homework... By the way, "Heroes 3: The Shadow of Death" was the first disc I bought!

I've already forgotten where and how I played Heroes for the first time. It feels like I've been playing it forever.

In the summer of '99, my friend would often gather people to play various games, and that's when we decided to play Heroes... and that's how it all started. Sleepless nights, missed classes, and complete immersion in the game.:eek:

A typical story!!! Everyone who starts playing Heroes gets lost in time!!! Even now!!!!!

Time doesn't really matter here; it's interesting to know who studied where, who played alone at home, who played with friends, and who spent their whole life playing in tournaments.

It's also interesting to see the silence of the moderators of this section regarding this topic.

In what sense?

My friend and I spotted it in a store! We chipped in and bought it. Who knew we'd spend two days straight at my place, drinking beer and PLAYING, PLAYING, PLAYING!!!!

Once, I visited my mother at her workplace, and her colleague let me play Heroes II in 1999. He also gave me The Restoration of Erathia, and that's how it all started... I went to tournaments in clubs and realized that I was far from the level of the other players...

People saw it for the first time and thought, “What the heck is this?” (it was a long time ago). Then, my older brother played it, and I asked him, “How can you play that garbage?” He said, “Try it yourself, and then you can judge.” So, I sat down and forced myself to play it at first, but then I got hooked and haven’t stopped playing since.

I went to a friend's birthday, and someone gave him the newly released game "Heroes III". We all sat down and turned it on. Neither I nor my friend had heard of this game before, and we learned how to play it together that day. Later, we played as a team many times, and it was great.

I used to play Warcraft and thought Heroes was a complete waste of time. But then I visited **MR**, I don't remember who started it, but I played it. MR showed me the basics, and then I figured it out on my own...
Now **MR** puts up with me sometimes:smile13:, right MR?:D
