Where did people learn to play Heroes?

I saw it at my good friend's place (I didn't have a computer back then)!!
Then I went to different computer clubs, and when I got a computer, I just sat there for days, not doing my homework.... By the way, "Heroes 3: The Shadow of Death" was the first disc I bought!
