In general, Marx mainly focused on criticizing capitalism and liberal ideology. He didn't particularly elaborate on projects for a future society, as he believed it was impossible to predict. The main points of Marx's criticism are:
1. Under capitalism, the market satisfies not needs, but demand (i.e., needs backed by money and imposed by advertising).
2. Under capitalism, there is a complete alienation of the individual, both from their labor and from their own personality; everything is subject to the laws of the market.
3. Capitalism has a beginning and, therefore, is finite, not eternal and infinite.
That's the gist of it.

I would add a lot more here, considering communism and fascism.

The way communism was implemented here had very little in common with Marxism. Marx himself wrote about this kind of "barracks communism" as a pre-capitalist system. But true communism is a post-capitalist and even post-socialist system. And fascism is built on criticism of Marxism, as well as on the idea of Jewish contamination.

Yes... perhaps if there had been less censorship and better leaders in the Soviet Union... I agree with Marx.

I personally believe that Marx, like Lenin, were people of rare intelligence, extraordinarily gifted intellectually. If we had a politician with such abilities today, the world would be shaken! :rolleyes:
As for criticizing Marxism... it would be better to criticize human nature. Are we more comfortable in a capitalist system? It's sad that we so easily submit to its laws, becoming slaves to the market... precisely, we satisfy not our own needs, but the demand.

Here's another one, comparing apples and oranges :mad:...I'm afraid Putin only elicits a trembling of laughter from the global community. :( No one is afraid of us...and that's worse than being feared.

Putin is not leading the country towards the USSR. This cannot be achieved through the Westernization he is pursuing. Putin is a very intelligent politician. And I am very sorry that he sold out to the burger-like...

In my opinion, the current government is only making money for themselves. They aren't deliberately harming the people; they're just neglecting them, leaving them to fend for themselves, and without authority, the people descend into chaos. If things get really bad (elections or a particularly large rally), they'll put on a show of activity, sometimes successfully. But the rest of the time, the people are simply ignored. I read Veller, and he writes that a country only prospers when the government is at least somewhat interested in the well-being of the country. Currently, the government only represents four interests: power (connections), authority (the government itself), money (businessmen), and goods (factory owners). The last two are optional. Although Putin is somewhat better than Bush or Yeltsin.

Yes, but probably only because he understands that pretending will allow him to stay in power longer. A small off-topic: What about the idea of good and evil factions in Heroes? I think I didn't quite understand it last time, and you didn't develop it further.
