Posts from Should I take the Wisdom skill?
...Maybe... make the "Wisdom" skill available only to heroes who have it initially (i.e., mages)?:D

For example, on this map, it's very convenient to take a hero with an innate "slow" spell and level up his earth magic – everyone else is without magic, and he controls them all with magic. And the efficiency of his spell distribution can also be crucial on this map.
BUT! The game is random! That is, we cannot know in advance how many "Utop" and how many "Pandor" creatures there will be...
I recently saw a game, and I'll tell you about it right after the results are announced; there was a lot to think about regarding "Wisdom"...
For now, I suggest we discuss the following question: 2cm4d3, SoD, should we take "Wisdom"?

1. Two starting skills were experted, and nothing better was given at level 6
2. A lot of resources accumulated by the end of the first week, there is an opportunity to place Mage Guild from 121 and finish building it during the second week (which is not insignificant). Also artifacts for knowledge/power. If only 1 knowledge, then there is no point at all.
3. The game is prolonged, nothing useful was found, and main skills are already leveled up.
Wisdom is given every i+5 level, so you can take Wisdom without rushing. Also, there's no point in taking Wisdom if we have a bunch of basic skills, meaning it's unclear when we'll manage to level up Wisdom.
GoedenDag "I have a favorite map - 'Heroes of Might and Magic, but not Magic'. There, the question of which skills to develop never arises."
On this map, it's very convenient to take a hero, for example, with an innate "slow" spell and develop earth magic - everyone else is without magic, and he controls them all with magic. And his skill in distributing spells also plays a crucial role on this map.
The point is that all heroes who have any spell from the start are prohibited (Heroes of Might and Magic, but not Magic).
And now, seriously - on S and M, it doesn't matter whether to take wisdom or not. On L and XL - it's a must, regardless of the presence/absence of pandoras. IMHO.
I just checked in "The Shadow of Death" - in "Heroes of Might and Magic, but not Might and Magic", you can immediately select Muandor with the Slow spell in the spellbook in the additional settings.

Indeed. I had to fix it in the editor.
I wonder, is it possible to create a "non-magical" template?
It is possible on maps from the "The Shadow of Death" version, for example, by editing all heroes and removing their spellbooks, adjusting possible skills, and removing literacy from those who have it by default.
