You used a combination of 3 (three) strong AI opponents on the HIGHEST difficulty level, and against them you and 2 allied AI companions, also with strong AI, and the "HARD" level? Did I understand you correctly?

Yes, the highest difficulty... I checked the map settings to make sure it really corresponds to reality. Resources, AI aggressiveness, etc. All the shortcomings were resolved by quickly going out to sea. But that's not the point; the strength of the AI is not a decisive factor for me.
Of course, I mainly play Heroes by myself. I rarely play Multiplayer, or even Hotseat. And AI is certainly important, but a person will always be smarter than a machine and will always be able to outsmart it, even if not on the first try, or even the second. It is not worth judging the game by the AI, or calling a strong AI "mega-cool" because of its bonus to money and, accordingly, reducing the player's money. Especially since the map under such conditions can simply become unplayable. For example, playing at 200% in Heroes 3, launching all the maps in order, I was not able to complete all of them. Patch 1.2.1 added a few types of dynastic weapons that I didn't have before. That's cool. I'm waiting for patch 1.2.2 to automatically complete the entire campaign for me.

I didn't really like the graphics either. Of course, it's modern, and all that. But it's true that it came out looking very slow and blurry. Everything is very uniform, and there isn't anything that makes the beauty of a particular micro-landscape stand out (although there are exceptions, like the waterfalls near the Naga).
