Never mind, I figured it out. Another question: how do I see what's needed to build structures in a town? Is there a way to quickly save?
I bought a license and played perfectly for a couple of days. Now, when I launch the game, it can't connect to the conflux; it just displays the connection screen and doesn't connect. I thought it might be scheduled maintenance, but it's been like this for two days now. If I cancel the connection, clicking the "campaign" button just crashes the game. What could be causing this problem? Today, it connected to the conflux twice for a short time... but it still crashed as soon as I clicked "play campaign." Could it be that I'm not the only one experiencing these issues? I have a good computer, and I bought the disc at an official store in St. Petersburg.
Added after 16 minutes I couldn't upload the image with the problem to the message, so I posted it as my avatar. Nothing helps. The internet is fast... it's a boxed license... everything was working perfectly without a single bug... could the problem be related to installing a patch? It downloaded automatically... But for some reason, it can't connect to the conflux. That is, over the past two days, it somehow managed to connect twice and immediately crashed both times when I tried to start the game. Otherwise, it just doesn't connect, it keeps spinning, trying to connect to the conflux... and nothing happens.
Regarding the black screen and the game not launching on a laptop, I was given a suggestion on the Ubisoft forum, but I'm not very tech-savvy and don't understand what I need to do. Here's the original text:
To do this you just press the windows key, write "regedit" and then proceed to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers folder.
Right click on the graphicsdrivers and select the add DWORD option. Rename the new item that comes to "tdrLevel"
Press the key with the Windows icon, then type "regedit". Edit the registry: find the specified path in the tree, right-click on graphicsdrivers, and select to create a DWORD variable. Rename the new item to "tdrLevel".
Hello,
The image of the city in my loading screen has moved to the upper left corner. Is there a way to fix this? The game doesn't run very well anyway, and it's unpleasant to look at.
Could you please tell me how I can change the initial hero selection options, as this identical set is getting tiresome. I was told that this can be done using the Dynasty editor, allowing me to customize it as I wish. I would like to develop a different hero along the path of blood or tears, with more interesting abilities, rather than the "standard ten." Currently, I don't have the opportunity to use this because the game is installed on my work computer, and all such features are disabled there. :( I would be grateful if knowledgeable people could provide a clear explanation and respond via PM.

Thank you very much. I was translating the ending incorrectly. So, after 2 days of persistence, I managed to solve the problem of the black screen and the game not launching, thanks to 2 forums. First, you need to do what Ment translated. Second, check the hosts folder (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) and clear any links ending in ".ubi". Third, and most importantly, as soon as you install the game, go to the game folder and launch the launcher application named "gu". Use it to download both patches. After installation and logging into the launcher, click "play". The screen will go black again, and after about 20 seconds, the first splash screen will appear. I hope this method will finally help many people get into the game.
Hello everyone, I have a small but annoying problem. I'm playing the campaign, the first mission as a Necromancer, following the path of blood, and I took the "Storm Arrows" spell from the air magic branch. Everything was fine, but then I noticed that I can no longer use this spell (see the picture), and I can't figure out why. I have archers in my army, and I'm still following the path of blood (reputation is around 150). But here's another thing: when I load an older save, I can use this spell, and the reputation is only 48. What's the problem?

Guys, I need help! I wrote about this yesterday: I'll reiterate the problem: my computer is a SONY VAIO Z690, running WIN 7, and I have a licensed "gewel" disc. I've done everything that was suggested: I downloaded the patches, created "tdrLewel", and checked the hosts file - but the game still won't launch! My son's birthday is on Saturday - he's waiting for Heroes 6 as a gift! What should I do?!
Guys, thanks to everyone for your help with the black screen issue.
I also did some digging and found one of the solutions to the problem, although it only applies to nVidia cards, although the same functions should be available on Radeon as well.
The black border appears because the driver is not configured correctly. The solution for nVidia is simple. Open the nVidia control panel, select the "Display" tab, then "Adjust desktop size and position," and check the box "Select scaling mode" - "Aspect ratio"
Now the game will stretch to fill the entire screen regardless of the resolution set.
Perhaps this information will be useful to someone with a widescreen HD monitor ;)

MakStar, if your laptop has a video card with a burst mode (i.e., you have 2 video cards, Intel GMA and a switchable Nvidia/Radeon), you may simply not have activated the second card. The game simply won't run on GMA; you need to activate the second one.
If that doesn't help, try updating the video card driver to the latest version from the manufacturer's website.
If that doesn't help either, then the problem is most likely with the disc.
Hello. I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this issue.
Previously, the game ran fine on my desktop, but I got a black screen on my laptop.
After the latest patch, everything started working perfectly on the laptop, even without crashes, but now the desktop version is crashing. I've noticed that it crashes 90% of the time when opening the town window. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution? Or should we wait for the next patch?
As soon as I launch the game and click on "Campaigns" or "Load Game," the launcher throws an error, and a message appears saying "the program will be closed." What's the problem? I have a digital version, and this window pops up intermittently. Please help!
I have deleted the "etc" file.
I've tried everything that was suggested, including changing parameters in the registry and updating to version 1.1.1.0. I've also downloaded the latest drivers. My system is Windows 7 64-bit, with a Radeon 5870 video card, etc. Everything seems to be up to par, but it still gives me an error:

Does anyone have any other ideas?
Yes, the game is from Gamasutra.

Running the launcher with autorun and registering the version on ubi.com helped with the launcher crashes. Conflux still hangs, though. Maybe registering on ubi.com will help someone?
In the 2nd mission for the ORCS, if you reach the first level of Tears, an unclosable window pops up saying something like "the hero is following the path of tears. blood path quests are unavailable." The game freezes, and you have to exit.
Perhaps someone has a solution to this problem, other than replaying everything from the first mission?
