Never mind, I figured it out. Another question: how do I see what's needed to build structures in a town? Is there a way to quickly save?
New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Press the key with the Windows icon, then type "regedit". Edit the registry: find the specified path in the tree, right-click on graphicsdrivers, and select to create a DWORD variable. Rename the new item to "tdrLevel".
Thank you very much. I was translating the ending incorrectly.
So, after 2 days of persistence, I figured out, thanks to 2 forums, how to solve the black screen and game launch problem. First, you need to do what Ment translated. Second, check the hosts folder (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) and clear it if there are any links ending in ".ubi". Third, and most importantly, as soon as you install the game, go to the game folder and launch the launcher application called "gu". Use it to download both patches. After installation and logging into the launcher, click "play". Again, a black screen, and I waited about 20 seconds for the first splash screen. I hope this method will finally help many people get into the game.
Guys, I need your help! I wrote about this yesterday: I'll reiterate the problem: I have a SONY VAIO Z690 computer, WIN 7, the disc is a licensed "gewel" version, I've done everything you suggested: I downloaded the patches, created "tdrLewel," checked the hosts file - but the game still won't start! My son's birthday is on Saturday - he's waiting for Heroes 6 as a gift! What should I do???!
