Posts from AI in Might & Magic: Heroes VI
Yes, the AI in Heroes 6 isn't very smart either. Moreover, in the beta, the computer acted more intelligently. In the release, the AI somehow ignores the central "citadel" tower for archers (in the beta, it placed archers there). Also, the AI, when you block centaurs, instead of moving back and attacking (centaurs can move and attack in one turn), it simply skips its turn by pressing "Wait".

Why was it banned ? The player already has an advantage over the AI...
Also, the auto-battles are annoying because of the AI's stupidity (it manages to lose units for no reason), and because it spends half of its mana pool on a level 30 hero, who has a mana pool of over 1k+. What can be spent on mana when the battle is won without any losses, without using spells? It's an unfathomable mystery, even for the developers themselves.
The AI is as repulsive as the game itself. A simple example: the Naga have a Tier 2 unit, "Frost Spirits" or something like that. The Spirits have an active ability that creates a puddle, which deals VERY high damage when passing through each cell of this puddle. So, if you pass through 2 cells, about half of the army dies in a roughly equal battle; if you pass through 4 cells (diagonally), the entire army dies. The AI doesn't see this puddle and walks through it diagonally, stupidly killing its entire army. /facepalm

And the puddle thing is absolutely true; it was the same in the beta. In fact, in Heroes 5, there were also some funny things, for example, when fighting against Archmages, and you fly away with a Griffin (it's the only unit), the Archmages start throwing Fireballs at each other :D At least, that's what happened to me.
Асха все обращает на пользу... :smile16:

So, are you saying that the AI has been given unfair advantages again? That explains why I was losing even in easy mode...
Although, in this case, it's really too strong.
although here he is really too strong.
It's not that the AI is strong, it's just that you haven't learned how to play well yet.
За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того

I'm saying, play them for about 3 years, and you'll be surprised at what you used to find strong in them. )) When you've studied the game and fully understand the AI's actions. Of course, when you pick up the disc for the first time, it seems like it's really strong... But later, with experience, you realize how basic your understanding was when you thought that. For example, like with the third game, where the AI is very simple, but at first, it seemed incredibly strong.
