Even here, they forgot about the canonical demons. Ah, the good old pentagram.

I played with them – I really liked it. You can really feel something ominous and creepy. I think they will be even better on their native terrain, just like it was with Sanctuary. Great job. :)

My opinion: hero-type demons shouldn’t be scary and repulsive. More precisely, they might be, but of a different kind, not like monsters from a cheap horror movie that repel and frighten with their disgusting appearance... Look at the demons from Heroes of Might and Magic III: they have a sly smirk on their faces, there are no sadomasochistic elements like chains, spikes, and so on, and I won’t even mention the shapeless slimes. As befits demons, the representatives of this faction in the third game pose the main danger not in a physical sense; it’s clear that they can kill the SOULS of their victims. The same can be seen in the fifth game, although only the second tier deviates from this concept, perhaps also the seventh. But this is not the case in the sixth game; here we see not demons, but simply a collection of freaks with sadomasochistic tendencies...

This is a matter of individual perception. Personally, I think of it this way: demons come from hell, a terrible place where pain, fear, hatred, suffering, bloodshed, torment, and punishment for sinners reign. That's my understanding. Therefore, I believe that the demons of Inferno, with their sadism, masochism, and madness, perfectly reflect the essence of hellish insanity. By the way, I like that this faction has such an effect on me; for the first time, Inferno at least slightly scares me (which is how it should be, in principle). But everyone perceives things differently.
