Mafia 31. Twilight Dances. Auto-translated

Role assigned.

It's time for me to ask all the questions about the game mechanics. First, I'll go over the roles. 1. Warden. Judging by the details of the roles, does execution in this game equal imprisonment? Does a random prisoner escape when Martial Law is used – i.e., one random executed player returns to the game? 2. Advisor. Here, I'll ask about silver weapons, just to be sure. As I understand it, is this now just a nice way to explain the Avenger's "Claws" ability? :) Since the Warden and Advisor no longer kill. Plus, the Enchantress is the only one who can kill, among those who don't kill with magic, right? 3. Viscount. All these additions, roles, when an attempt is made to kill them, and... does the victim also die in the process? Because if not, it's funny – half the mafia and the town can't kill. And that's even though they might spend half the game without using their night action. 4. Duke. So, he chooses the Knight's target, and the Knight has to figure out which night action to use himself? And yes, regarding protection from physical weapons – please explain who kills how. So there are no doubts. Or rather, I think it's easier to indicate who doesn't kill with physical weapons – there are few of them, and it's not difficult. Well, the rest of the killers will, accordingly, kill with physical weapons. 5. Head of the Guard. "The killer's target remains alive." I don't quite understand the wording. Does it mean that the target of the protection remains alive in the event of an assassination attempt, but the killer is not affected, or what? And a question about the special ability: is this like "night shift" in Mafia 28? In the style of "you can use a night action, or you can deliberately do nothing, and this inaction will provide protection"? 6. Knight. It is said about Guard that the target cannot use a night action if it is not the Knight. Does this mean that if the Duke sends a choice of "player A," and this player A is the Knight himself, can the Knight protect himself? 7. Abbot. What does "can repair the Golem" mean? Revive it if it is killed? And "50% chance that healing will work" – if it is healed, does the healing have a chance of failure due to its mechanical structure? 8. Witch. Poisoning. Does the player know that they have been poisoned? Or do they only have to guess from the newspaper, like everyone else? 9. Technomancer. Flash. Loss of the ability to use a night action on the night of the flash, i.e., it essentially works as protection against all external influences? Special ability "short circuit." Can you give an example of "not as it should be"? 10. Thief. Audacity. How long does the vote steal last? Or just for the next day? Does it also steal a double vote? Shelter. Immune to any night actions? Does this imply complete immunity to all night actions, except for the night action of the Killer? Knowledge of the city. Does this also apply to the night action of the Killer, 50% protection? And also... Does Martial Law, if successful in protecting, work the same way as with the Avenger? I.e., in the event of an unsuccessful Martial Law, you will also have to figure out whether it was the Thief or the Avenger? 11. Golem. It simply takes the hit, the attacker will not be killed, right? 12. Angel. Angel Wings. "Cannot be blocked" applies only to this night action? And also, it dies instead of the target. And it is immune to killings on the first night. What will happen if it uses Angel Wings on the first night – will it die? 13. Enchantress. Can she really only protect a player from her own team? Can she not use her protection to protect a townie from the mafia? 14. Moon Dancer. Dance of the Silver Crescent. The night action is displayed in the newspaper, will it be clear that this night action was used? Or will there be some vague wording? Blinding Light. Protection from the Warden. Does this imply protection from Martial Law, or is it just an old line left over from when the Warden killed? 15. Killer. Ignores protection when killing both the target and the protector. For example, the Knight protects the Alchemist, who is the Killer's target. Will both die? Random status for each night – both statuses? 16. Sorceress. Rain. As I understand it, protection is removed en masse, since it's rain? Is it only removed for the night of use? "Feels the Technomancer" – does she learn the nickname? 17. Avenger. Arson. Is the 50% calculated for each visitor separately, or all at once, either killing all visitors or none? Dirty Blood and Snarl. Again, please indicate who cannot kill at all, and from whom there will be 50% protection. And a global question – which night actions are not displayed, if any?

While reading the rules, I felt completely lost. Then Gil came along and blew away what little I had left...

1. Yes. If there is no one there, then no one returns. 2. Partially. It's like a passive ability; nothing can be done about it. 3. No, the victim does not die. It can kill half of the mages, but no one forces it to kill the target. 4. The Knight decides what to do with the target. I forgot, yes, I'll write it down. 5. Well, there won't be a double kill if "he" kills. Nothing happens to the killer, not even to the Viscount. You can intentionally do nothing and be selfish, but still receive protection (it will be like natural protection; the killer will penetrate). 6. What's the point of this protection if he dies anyway? But, perhaps not. If the Knight receives a message about himself, he does nothing. 7. Yes, if the golem is killed, the golem can be repaired the next night (or the following nights). You need to know who the golem was, but this will be clear. Yes, healing has a chance of failure. 8. He finds out. 9. Yes. "The Viscount kills; if it's not done correctly, he cripples (like an onion)." 10. Steals for one day, double steal. Yes, immune to negative effects. Including the negative effects of the killer. He escapes just like the avenger and the dancer. 11. He will not be killed. 12. He will die. 13. Only his own. 14. It will be clear what dance she is performing. Protection from the Governor, yes. 15. If the Knight, both will die; in response, the Knight does not kill the killer. If it's a golem: it will penetrate the golem, kill the target, and not penetrate the guard. Both statuses. 16. Massively. He learns the nickname. Only for the night of use. 17. 50% for each. The Witch can kill with 50%, the Whisperer can do the same. The others cannot. In general, personal checks will be displayed to a minimum, but I think they will still be there.

Okay, almost everything is clear, just a couple more clarifications:
9. So, in the same example with the Viscount, there will be an assassination attempt, but the murder won't happen?
10. If he's immune to night actions, including the Assassin's, what does it mean that "the Assassin can find the Thief"? Will he not kill during the night of immunity, but will he learn that he attacked the Thief?

And also, what about the number of night actions from the Mafia per night? Are there three, including one murder?

9. Yes, there will be a situation like "a stunned Knight shot a Thief in the leg and ran away."
10. If the assassin hid and used 3 Dodge, then the Assassin, if he goes to kill him, will find and kill him. That's how it works. At the same time, 50% immunity doesn't work.

3 Dodge. 1 kill per night, one ultimate ability per night.

Attention, a message to all defenders:
Since the Mafia has an Assassin who bypasses all defenses and eliminates both a defender and their target, a good strategy for the Mafia is to send the Assassin after me, hoping to eliminate a couple of players at once.
Initially, I wanted to ask the Golem to protect me, but then I realized that this is easily countered by the Enchantress. But one of Vis's answers pleased me - the Assassin does not bypass the guard (I missed this when studying the rules). Therefore, I really hope that the Head of the Guard is ready to cooperate with me now and will agree to protect me. All other defenders should look for other targets - so as not to die along with me. I understand that you don't have any reason to trust me yet, but if I were a member of the Mafia, it would be much more beneficial for me to attract more defenders to myself. Instead, I am only asking for the protection of the Head of the Guard. And, Head of the Guard, please note - your decision may determine the outcome of the game.
In short:
Head of the Guard, protect me.
ALL other defenders - stay away from me.

The game hasn't even started yet, and Gil has already given himself away.
