Or, the fact that they are defending suggests that you aren't watching my videos :D and don't know that double-hex mobs won't walk into fire if it's right next to them.
Message from Dirty_Player: You didn't mention the most important thing – the level of Fire magic development. Although in this battle, where the stack has 40 HP, it's not critical. It can be won anyway. The fact that they are defending indicates that you are not watching my videos and don't know that two-hex mobs won't be affected by fire if they are standing close.
Which video are you referring to?

I tested the towers. Castle vs. Rampart (it doesn't really matter which). Each of us has probably noticed that towers attack with different strength, but we don't know why yet (maybe someone knows). In general, I tested the following options:
1. Hero with ranged attack defends.
2. Hero without ranged attack defends.
3. Battle without a garrison hero.
4. I personally adhered to the myth that the earlier the towers are built, the stronger they become each week, but after building in 3 castles on different weeks (1, 2, 3), I didn't see any difference.
5. Attacked and defended with heroes with ranged attack and ballistics - no changes.
I didn't test battles with a hero who has the "War Machine" skill.
And from the above, it follows that all towers on any week attack with the same strength! (regardless of whether there is a garrison hero): the main tower deals 30-45 damage, the side towers 15-30 HP.
But there is also a moment when the towers deal a lot of damage.
What do you think?

The amount of damage depends only on the number of "structures" (buildings) currently in the city (the level of defense of the attacking unit and its position on the battlefield do not affect the amount of damage, which is the case with ranged attacks by ranged units of the defenders).
Learn the details.
Added some time later: Here is the complete information:
"1. All "upgrades" of military buildings, the administrative building (starting with City Hall), and the Mage Guild (starting with the second level) do not increase the number of "structures," as the main building has already been constructed. 2. Additional population increases (such as Griffin Bastion - Castle, Sculptor's Wings - Tower, Miner's Guild - Rampart, etc.) are also not "structures." These "upgrades" do not even affect the appearance of the city when entering the Hall; they cannot be selected with the "mouse" and their name cannot be displayed in the "information bar." 3. The Citadel or Castle is not included in the number of such "structures," as its "towers" already inflict damage on attacking units, and much more than each "structure." 4. Some cities have other "upgrades" that are, of course, not "structures." The formula for calculating the damage in Hit Points (HP) inflicted by the central tower of a specific city is as follows:
Damage (HP) = D + d*N, where D is the basic level of damage inflicted by the tower - 10-15 HP d is the additional bonus to the attack power that the ranged tower gains when building another structure - 2-3 HP N is the number of structures that have already been built in the city"
Thanks from all of us who don't know. Do you know the maximum damage? And I read somewhere that towers deal more damage without a garrison hero. Is that a myth? And by what percentage does building increase damage? And what is this percentage calculated from?

Who played BG 2: please tell me how to defeat the great werewolves? I can't seem to do it, because they fully regenerate, even after taking a single point of damage + they have immense magic resistance. P.S. You don't have to answer, I found the answer in the manual:
Unlike the werewolf, the wolfwere is a wolf that transforms into humanoid form. Their most powerful form is their hybrid human-wolf shape. While in this form they possess immense strength and regenerate quickly. The greater wolfwere is extremely dangerous. This creature regenerates so fast as to be nigh indestructible. The only way for a party to kill such a mighty beast is to focus all of their might against the creature in a combined attack.
Message from R55Max No, they are not like that. There are quite a few situations where you have to calculate the retaliatory damage to avoid losing not only skeletons, but also vipers, unicorns, or angels, etc. And what's wrong with 20 griffins against 100+ corpses? As Vicc said: if I know for sure that I will win against the neutrals with this army, then they must fall. He said this about their lack of morale. And I ask, if I know for sure that I will defeat the neutrals, why should I pay with time? And in one day, you can kill all the top-tier creatures with such an army, but lose time simply because it's impossible to speed it up due to the huge number of turns. IMO, it's simply unfair to take away time for something you are actually playing and fighting for, instead of just idly waiting.
And can I get saves of such battles/turns with long fights that burned (or would have burned) the timer? I'm not kidding or trolling. I'm really interested. Preferably, your own saves, of course. __________________
Here is a save from a very interesting 2v2 scenario.
Brogh takes the dwarven stronghold, version VT. IMO, this is a battle that kills the timer (at least, I didn't know an optimal strategy in advance).
Here's the save file from a very interesting 2v2 match.
Brog takes the Dwarf faction, using the VT version. In my opinion, this is a battle that eats up time (at least, I didn't know an optimal strategy in advance).
Pasha, don't you think this is unfair? I took the Dwarf faction in 400 seconds (let's say an average of 500, I just didn't get it on the first try) on level 112; not everyone will risk going in there. I think it's a great price to pay for tempo (because you can take it later with stronger units)...
Here's a screenshot; I messed up once, and they killed a few extra Goblins:o
well, well, looks like Samurai and I were waiting for something:)

I would like to organize a second match with the Chinese portal gamerhome.net. Are our players interested in participating? I remember that last time, I barely managed to assemble a team... But the game turned out to be quite interesting.

What about the rules? The conditions at the last inter-portal event were good - half of the games were played according to our rules, and half according to their rules.
it will be like last time – half of the matches will be played according to their rules (balance), and half according to ours (I will discuss the templates with them – last time we only had the SCMK due to known reasons; now there are more templates, but they will hardly be able to learn them all). Plus, a small match outside the competition for the Dessert Ware.
