No way. Rename \Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\ to, for example, HoMMV.

No, there's nothing there. Most likely, it's the file explorer (desktop) or another game glitch.

Somewhere in the folder with my documents, presumably at the address c:\Users\Gosha\Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V — Tribes of the East\Profiles\, there is a *.cfg file (most likely user.cfg). It contains almost all the game configuration settings. Look for it and change the value of setvar gfx_fullscreen = from 1 to 0. You can also try disabling shaders... setvar gfx_noshadows = from 0 to 1. In general, if you have some knowledge of English, there are many interesting things you can adjust there.

So, I got a new computer, and it has Windows 7. I really want to enjoy Heroes 5 on a big monitor. I'm trying to install it, but I'm getting an error.

Did you clean the registry?
Yes, there are no files related to Heroes there.

Did you disable the antivirus?
Yes.

Did you check the disk for integrity on another device?
Yes, Heroes installs perfectly fine.

It's a shame to reinstall Windows... Does anyone have any ideas, and could it be something else?
