The special effects are poor, and the plot is cliché, to put it mildly. If it has even surpassed "Sex and the City" in this category, then it's definitely worth reconsidering the plot. I didn't even mention the 2nd and 3rd parts, but nevertheless, miracles rarely happen.
Plot based on an animated series/manga. The special effects are decent, considering how difficult it is to translate magical movements into reality. In the animated series, everything is fast-paced, but that's not possible in the film, so it's slightly slowed down. However, the scenery is beautiful, and the animals are almost perfectly drawn. Is that all? Just two drawbacks? In my opinion, the only drawback is that there isn't enough time to convey the entire story. If a person is not familiar with the source material, it will be difficult for them to understand the plot. Everything else is minor.
"The Day After Tomorrow." A typical Hollywood movie with some heroes, a plot, and a love story. Watch it and forget about it.
"The Witch's Mountain." There was a lot of advertising for the movie on TV. First, they show a typical hero saving cute little kids. Then, a car hits a child with full force, and it breaks into pieces. Then, a voice in black says, "They are not children." The next scene shows the hero fighting a terrifying monster...
Cursing myself for missing such a thriller, I put aside my work and sit down to watch the movie. At first, everything is as promised - a hero, children... I'm waiting for the climax... and only after half an hour do I realize that I won't get it; it's a typical sappy fairy tale - the hero is a hero, the children are children, the monster is a monster.
9 out of 10 for the advertisement, the movie is much worse.
Added 4 hours and 6 minutes ago A homeless guy with a shotgun. Finally, it came out, and finally, I watched it. Hey, you definitely have to watch it, ten out of ten.
An excellent film. Colorful and beautifully captures the atmosphere of Japan during a pivotal period in its history. The acting, directing, scriptwriting, and costume design are all top-notch. "The sky, you can look at it" (c) Morning.
The Phantom of the Opera, 2004, musical
Not bad, but it doesn't quite reach "good." The acting and singing could have been better. I'd like to see the musical for comparison.

Watched for 127 hours, although not from the very beginning, but from an interesting point. The film is based on real events and is interesting. I recommend it.
Watched the cartoon Corpse Bride. (yes, I'm a little late to the party). I have positive impressions; I liked the cartoon (even more than The Nightmare Before Christmas), it's exactly my style. Dark, sad, and about love.
today I finally finished watching the "Millennium" trilogy. I really liked the first film ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"). The plot moves quickly, and it's interesting. I didn't like the other two films at all... ( maybe it's just my taste. Not much impresses me. My favorites are "The Green Mile" and "Changeling" (2008). I've watched them many times. I like movies about serial killers.)
Rewatched Down House.
The film is light and not stressful, yet interesting at the same time. Although, if you are a sophisticated viewer and don't like this kind of art-house film, you won't like it(((
Sky, if you haven't seen it, watch it.
Tomorrow holds no promises Except the ones we've made

I'm just about to watch the first film. I recently read the book of the same name, and I really enjoyed it, although the events develop a bit slowly at the beginning. But overall, it's a high-quality and quite logical good detective story; I haven't read anything like it in a long time.
Of the films I've watched recently, Good Will Hunting particularly impressed me.
It tells the story of a 20-year-old troubled young man from a difficult family who possesses unique mathematical abilities. Good performances by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who also wrote the screenplay, as well as Robin Williams.
It's a good film with a touch of sadness, and it leaves a pleasant aftertaste after watching. I recommend it to everyone who hasn't seen it.
I'm actually planning to watch the first movie. I recently read the book with the same title, and I really enjoyed it, although the events unfold a bit slowly at the beginning. Overall, it's a well-written and quite logical good detective story; I haven't read anything like it in a long time.
I also enjoy reading similar literature. "Shattered Dreams" by Sidney Sheldon is a magnificent book. It's a shame that a movie based on this work was never made. I would have loved to see it.
Yesterday evening, I watched "No One Killed Jessica." Many people recommended it. I didn't like the movie; it was drawn out and predictable. But it's based on real events. Oh, and it's also an Indian film... pff.
I watched the first four episodes of the first season of "Game of Thrones." I unexpectedly enjoyed it; the first two episodes were better than the third and fourth. I hadn't read "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin, which this series is based on, and I hadn't even heard of the author (later, I was told that it's terribly shameful not to know George R.R. Martin! I felt a little ashamed for a short time, but it quickly passed).
I also watched "Thor," "The Ritual," and "Forbidden Reception." None of these films made a positive impression.
Watched two episodes of the mentioned series, "Game of Thrones." It seems to be well-made and of good quality, but there's a strong presence of modern phrases and communication styles, and in my opinion, it doesn't fully capture the spirit of J. Martin's novels. Also, the most puzzling thing is that it doesn't show the complete picture of the complex world of contradictions and intrigues of the various houses of Westeros. I agree that it's difficult to convey in a film what the author wanted to express, but nevertheless... Overall, I was pleased with the appearance of this series: it's always interesting to see on the screen the director's interpretation of the characters I read about in books... It's not worse than "The Lord of the Rings," and in some ways, it's even better: there's no such pathos as in P. Jackson's film, for example. We're waiting for "The Hobbit."
