Posts from [ANNOUNCEMENT] Heroes 3: World Tournament - an add-on for tournament games.
in my opinion, 160-170 Gremlins would be more overpowered than the Miner. So, I think a specialist for them is unnecessary.
Regarding the monsters:
Increase the number of Gremlins to 12, the penalty can remain. Give simple Gargoyles a speed of 7, and upgraded ones a speed of 10 - this will be enough for the first turn in confrontations on grass, and 11 seems like too much.
Regarding the heroes:
The option with Halon is interesting in terms of a main hero - a mage, but I think he will still be weak. Maybe it would be better to make Ion a specialist for Gremlins.
Give Fafner armor instead of erudition, 7 Nagas with 140 hit points and armor on the second level - that would be something :D
Actually, I was thinking about who I might have forgotten... Fafner!! That's a good idea. He needs offense instead of erudition. Offense would be more relevant for Nagas.
There was a suggestion to make mages with a guild a dead-end branch, that is, after Golems, immediately allow building Giants and Nagas. Then you can put 5-6-7 in the castle on level 1.
Regarding the heroes - a significant strengthening of the Scholar was planned, so it is not a fact that replacing him with another skill will strengthen the hero.
The idea about Halon didn't occur to me. Interesting, I need to think about it. However, it might be better to take some less capable wizard, specialists in secondary spells, for example. Mysticism is still a thing.
By the way, as an option, there is the Dragon (specialist in Sorcerers), you can use him... BUT I think there might be problems with him when he is included in the game and chosen as a starting hero.
I think removing Giants from the building tree for Giants is the optimal option.
In addition to the above, I would fix Neela — if instead of Scholar you give her something at least somewhat worthwhile, like Intelligence or Wisdom, the hero would be very, very appealing.
FOR bringing back the Watchtower to Tower.
FOR changing the building branches to 357 and 46 for Jebus Cross, for example — that’s very relevant!
FOR a specialist in Hats — and let them be as numerous as Goshik’s Skeletons.
FOR upgrading Josephine to Defensive + Offensive skills

"Это нам идеально подходит!" [Новосибирск, 2013]
"Красавчик! Если только не читер.." [Киев, 2014]
"Это Вам не шутки - нажрался Dust в маршрутке" [Новокузнецк, 2015]
Сам ты фиш (с) :D

No matter how many times I start playing, I always quit because of the large number of changes.

No matter how much you buff a Tower, a Swamp will always be more overpowered. :D
Все в ней нулево и кукольно.
As an alternative, you could create TWO alternative branches. 3-GM-4-6 (classic) or 3-5-7 (like Stronghold).
definitely needs balancing
in addition to what was said, I would fix the Tower; if instead of "schoolboy" you give it something at least somewhat worthwhile, like intelligence or wisdom, the hero will be very, very appealing.
Yeah, the idea of two branches is interesting.
But, perhaps, it would be better to have the guild->mages->giants branch (an option for Jebus) and the golems->nagas+djinn branch (for the rest of the heroes).
I tried to add the golem's lair, but it didn't work. That is, it exists in zaobjts.txt, but for some unknown reason, it doesn't generate.
However, there is another option - to bring back the snow hillfort into the game, and then change it to the golem's lair using scripts. The value of the hillfort is decent, so you won't be able to get it for free in the first week, so you can leave it as is (like a feature).
No matter how much you feed the wolf, the donkey will always have more
No matter how much you balance the Tower, the Swamp will always be more overpowered.:D
Fafnir!! That's the way to go. He needs offense instead of knowledge. Offense will be more relevant for Nags.
Все в ней нулево и кукольно.
And if on random, due to the established style and tempo of development, Tower doesn't work well — well, then don't play it.... or don't copy the styles of other castles, but create and master a new one (or remember a forgotten old one))))
And to remember and utilize the old Tower style with the new development speeds, there's no need to reinvent the wheel — imo, one mine of each resource at the Tower respawn would be quite enough ;) is it actually possible to whip that up quickly — we'd test it right away :)
p.s.: this doesn't apply to the Jebus discussed in the other subthread, but Jebus is a template for technique, not strategy..... though with the low speed of Tower units on Jebus, in most scenarios nothing will help it.....
Все в ней нулево и кукольно.
