Problem with patch 3.1! It says "Game not installed," even though Tribes of the East (3.0) is installed on the computer, and it's from a genuine, licensed "Gold Edition."
I know what the problem is:
if it's a pirated copy, it might not work.
if it's a licensed copy, check the disc to see which company published it. In my case, the publisher was Buka, so I had to download patch 3.1 from Buka's website, and that helped.
Licensed version - the story of two worlds (all 4 and 5 heroes). Versions 2 and 3 are installed. I downloaded updates to 3.1 from here: http://patches.ubi.com/heroes_might_magic_5/. When I launch the game, the update is unpacked, and then it says "Game not installed." Accordingly, I can't play online - everyone else has version 3.1.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do? Or, if this problem has already been discussed, please provide a link to the solution.
Added after 1 hour 43 minutes I read the forum - there was a similar topic. In that topic, someone proved that the person had a pirated disc. Mine is not pirated! The disc cost 600 rubles, it had a poster with troops, and a key for a prize draw, which I sent to BUKA, and they sent me keys for online play.
Added after 18 minutes I tried playing with a friend in the unupdated version 3.0 - he also has 3.0. I create a game, he joins, and then the server kicks him out after 5 seconds. If he creates a game, it kicks me out
to fred26:
I also have this disc - "History of Two Worlds". It already includes all the patches for the fifth part. That is, for the third part, it's version 3.1.
try installing the patches from the official game website...
I already wrote that I'm installing the patch from Ubisoft, and I also downloaded a patch from this forum - it's exactly the same. And the result is the same...

I don't know. Maybe the release dates are different, BUT the first part is installed with version 1.6, the second part with version 2.1, and the third part with version 3.0.
The version was updated to 3.1. Still, we can’t play (we’re trying to connect with a friend) – it constantly says “the game server has disconnected,” for the person trying to connect. And for the person creating the game, it says “XXX has entered the game” and immediately “XXX has left the game.”
Well, this is an old problem with disks from Буки – only the "native" Буки patch works for them, which you unsuccessfully tried to find on ubisoft.com.
And do you and your friend have the same versions of the game? And were you trying to play on the Ubisoft server or some other server?
I downloaded patch 3.1 in Russian from Ubisoft.com, and during installation, it says that the game HoMM: Tribes of the East is not installed on your computer. The game is installed, it's a licensed copy, and I bought it in the USSR. I also downloaded several other patches from other sites, and the same thing happens. Can anyone offer any advice?
