Posts from Discussion about the Britvachka-Valenok party.
2) Britva systematically cheats in general (I don't know how often). 3) He won't be able to cure himself of this, because for him there is neither sense nor desire nor resistance to temptation to play fair.
The presence of random and unexpected moves (unpredictable) is constantly seen with Britva!!! Randomness or luck?? Of course neither!! You cannot constantly make random, ill-considered moves and find the necessary objects!!! Therefore, draw your own conclusions!!! Half of World doesn't play with Britva (neither do I, after several games) and everyone can give an answer as to why!!! Today 10:44
Facts please; so far this seems to me only like a storm in a teacup.
If you dare to claim that the player Britvochka is a systematic cheater, then please attach the saves. It is known that Andrey is one of the few on World who has victories over AlexomGreat and Cobra. Now it would be interesting to see what happened there. After all, agree that one must be a complete idiot to beat strong players without using cheats, and then start maphacking in a game with Valenok, where for the most part this Dragon Utopia decided little, as it was a one-sided affair.
If you don't have those saves, then please provide any others where there are questionable actions by Andrey.
P.S. I apologize to Valenok, I inadequately assessed the situation
Paul World doesn't play with Britva (neither do I, after a few games), and everyone will tell you why!!!
I think this is much worse than Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. If people don't want to play with someone anyway, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is just a formality.
I agree, it's probably unpleasant when you want to play but can't find an opponent.
Regarding the World of Xeen, I don't even know what to say; I haven't checked. It's been a while since I offered to play a season with someone.
Back then, I played here with all the active players. I used personal messages on ICQ to arrange matches.
Currently, finding an opponent isn't a problem, especially when it's convenient for you at any time of the day.
Right now, I'm drawn to blitz games with 1-2 minutes per turn and blitz matches in pairs, 2v2, as well as new templates.
And, of course, the ingenious invention – simultaneous turns.
A message in the thread "Reports of the Holy Inquisition from Master Neoandi" (01/08/2009):
Sir Jigachok has been blocked because he is a doppelganger of Sir bRitvA, who was previously blocked by Sir Vigo. The circumstances are being investigated.
Vigo and Vikk, +1 to you!! You're absolutely right! Listen, Oelm, did you want the opinion of experienced players? Here it is!! Why would Britva cheat in a match against Valenko after winning against ATG? Because Britva's position was worse, and he was afraid to lose to some Valenko – it's a game, anything is possible!! Look at the correspondence between Valenko and Britva! By the way, I consider the screenshots posted by Britva showing Valenko's actions to be a provocation and off-topic in response to Britva's own accusations. Britva, is this how you win? What kind of strong player are you after this? (Censored)...
Because of players like you, promising and decent players, and people like Valenko, are leaving. And who will play with you after this? If I ever face you (I'm sure we will meet), I will demand a broadcast from your side, and we will play matches in one go, on some common day off.
Well, I think we should be discussing Valenok here, not Britva. I've already checked the saves after the continuation. 224-227. The Reds take the "can" and immediately DD into a treasure zone, stumbling upon a Dragon Utopia :) well they take it right there, grab the village, and go to the dungeon to double their mana. In the village, they hit the tavern and a couple of heroes as if for scouting. The next day, TP to Inferno, we pick up 4 efreets there—interesting why; this move would've basically killed me, but let's look further. We return to the village, and without touching the empty chest, we go west for the dragons; KV and level 2 magic don't interest us either, what interests us is the chest with 12 efreets :) and the hive, then DD into another treasure zone where we break through 2 prison guards and shields + the black market. The next day we run into the darkness again and oh wonder, we get the "can", again we use DD and head upwards. 227 - a couple more steps into the darkness, opa, there's a Dragon Utopia, beauty; DD into the darkness and we carry off the "teapot" right from under Kreg's nose, and we don't enter the hive otherwise we might run out of moves—that's the catch, but you can always come back for the hive, whereas in this situation, one is extremely reluctant to give the "teapot" to Kreg.... And you guys are here discussing Britva's ambiguous behavior?
I'll start from a distance. There is such a profession as an investigator. An investigation begins with the investigator determining for themselves whether the suspect is guilty or not. This allows them to immediately understand what to do—whether to fight for the truth, pin it on someone, or look for another suspect.
Of course, various clues, physical evidence, and other courtroom attributes are secondary here. The main thing is the investigator's personal opinion, their intuition, feelings, etc. And these are based primarily on a purely human impression of the suspect—how they look, how they behave, how they answer questions, etc.
It is quite difficult to confuse an experienced investigator; for most people in a state of stress, their true nature is clearly visible. Even without stress, too. For example, a pickpocket is perceived by people in a crowd as one of them. But a seasoned detective can often identify a pickpocket in a crowd of people just by their appearance, body movements, and shifty eyes.
And only after an opinion has been formed does the collection of evidence for court begin. Sometimes, due to a lack of such evidence, it is necessary to keep the suspect in sight and wait until they finally commit a crime.
The same principle applies to cheating cases—cheaters have a limited set of psychological profiles, and their methods of self-expression are also subject to systematization. In other words, if a person fits such a profile, it's a reason to look at them more closely. And if they aren't even close, you can relax.
Of course, there are many borderline cases, as well as simply intelligent people who know how to hide their second nature not only in the game but also in communication. However, as pressure mounts, many begin to "crack"; after all, conspiracy skills are poorly trained by life, and it is generally accepted to fight for a righteous cause. This is how you can expose comrades who are not our comrades at all.
From the start, Comrade Britva fit into a psychological profile very familiar to me: people who are prone to dirty methods of achieving their goals. The driving motivation here is self-assertion by elevating oneself above others; various competitive disciplines are very conducive to this and therefore attract such people. In itself, this isn't bad, unless it is compounded by other factors, such as:
1) A lack of talents capable of pulling the owner to the top. That is, the thirst is there, but there is nothing to quench it with.
2) A lack of respect for others' opinions of you. This can happen, for example, from an inability or unwillingness to make people like you, and as a result, leads to downplaying the significance of this factor (the "they fear me, therefore they respect me" approach has similar reasoning).
This can manifest, for example, as general shittiness (sorry, Pasha, I couldn't think of a more suitable word) in communication, a tendency to spew bile, bullying neighbors, etc. That is, a desire to replace empathetic bonds with hierarchical ones.
3) An absence (or weak expression) of such an evaluative category as honor and nobility. In Heroes, due to the weakness of means for monitoring rule compliance, much relies precisely on these concepts.
The lack thereof is clearly visible in the manner of communication on the forum—pettiness, a tendency toward nitpicking (not to be confused with punctuality), minor insults (not to be confused with banter and various pranks), backstabbing, etc. In other words, a general sense of dirtiness emanates from the text; there is no generosity of spirit.
Plus, there's a very telling reaction to accusations—an honest and noble person usually feels sincere indignation at the mere fact of any suspicions directed toward them; they might start stamping their feet, tearing their shirt open, issuing a challenge, pressing hard (regardless of how—logic, emotions, or otherwise), etc. That is, they actively defend their honor, usually with overkill, so that the accusers are exhausted by the recoil.
In this regard, I recommend studying the topic on the Portal where accusations of cheating were leveled at Marcon. Personally, I didn't take these accusations seriously right away; I didn't even look at the saves, simply because Marcon doesn't fit the cheater profile at all. And I was convinced of this once more after reading his responses to the accusers—the tone and self-positioning were a 5+.
Britva's responses, however, can be characterized as nothing other than "feeble lying" and "passing the buck." In general, the attempt to bash Valenok amused me; its subtext is easily read: "well everyone cheats, so why can't I?", or "if I'm going down, I'll take someone with me." Of all the moments where Britva psychologically gave himself away, this is perhaps the most obvious.
Added after 24 minutes Oelm1. As I understand the essence of mini-nostalgia: the main motive is to eat the strategic center, and then play according to the situation. That is, first we clear our treasure zones until we have gathered enough strength to go to the center, and then we head there. The center on mini-nost is usually small in size, so not much "tasty" stuff fits there, and there's no village. In other words, the center is more of a road to the opponent than a treasure zone. Corner treasure zones are larger, tastier, and have a village. Quite often, people don't even go to the central treasure zone—if you found control in the corner, you can jump straight to the opponent (opponents usually generate near each other).
Considering this specifically on mini-nostalgia, having DD, a jump to the opponent's treasure zone will hardly be a negative move, regardless of the opp's skill.
2. It is also entirely possible that the opp split their army. One part clears a treasure zone, another, say, the center or another treasure zone. I wouldn't say such a chance is negligible.
3. In fact, an additional motive can be found. The thing is, from the underground, it will likely be possible to DD into the center
4. Passing through off-road cannot be a very bad move in any case. Well, maybe not Dragon Utopia, but a couple of uncleaned hives could actually be there. Considering that roads are the slowest, passing through off-road is definitely a promising option.
Some stream of nonsense, sorry.
Now imagine—you're playing against someone; he jumped over a cliff onto the road to you, then ran off-road into a corner of the resp you had already scouted, found nothing there (in 90++% of cases, that's how it will be), and then went back (on foot or with DD, they say TP wasn't available there).
What is your opinion on such a comrade's skill? Correct—a total noob.
Theoretically, one could imagine the justification for a similar maneuver; for example, if the road to the village goes into the corner, but the off-road trip is made toward the center. Like, "if I find nothing, I'll jump into the neighboring zone and search it."
In that version, it would look strange, but generally tolerable; some logic (mixed with intuition) is present here.
But when an off-road trip is made to a corner of the map (!) from which you can't jump anywhere, and then you have to return back to the same lift... meaning if the opponent is stronger, he'll catch you here, and if weaker, you give him a day or two to get away or gather an army.
That's why I say this move is strictly negative, and I'm surprised that anyone (except Britva) claims otherwise. And Britva is not the kind of person who can write off strange decisions as his own noobishness; after all, he has decent stats and wins tournaments, meaning he is well acquainted with the basics of strategy.
Dear representatives of the AK!!! Everything that Oelm and his supporters are writing against Valenok is a provocation! It's a conspiracy! They want to confuse you all and prevent you from making a clear decision! Don't fall for this cheap provocation!

You'll bring the Protocols of the Elders of Zion here next and accuse all of us of a global Jewish conspiracy :D writer :smile33:

And this is already a sign of a weak and dark person in a discussion... There are no provocations, and there cannot be any!!! Why?? Because there isn't enough common sense to do it))

Don't touch RIDMI :D he's mine ;)

A detailed retelling of the moderated paragraph: Some stream of nonsense, sorry. Imagine you're playing against someone, he jumped over a cliff onto the road, then ran off-road into a corner of your scouted respawn, found nothing there (in 90++% of cases it will be like that), and then went back (on foot or with DD, TP, they say there was none).
But why then didn't Valenok go to the Necro in the metro, even just with a LOSHOK, I never heard an answer from HIM to this question! And I repeated it multiple times, but here you are claiming that the respawn is COMPLETELY cleared :D I'm in SHOCK at such LOGIC - no offense - Britva at least writes something in his defense, respect to him for that, but Valenok what???? Wrote a post and washed his hands - not good !!!
A purebred PROVOCATION. Breetva started spitting out screenshots and correspondence with Valentok, trying to either shift all the blame onto Valentok or, as Vick said, sink together if they go down. Censorship...
