You do a lot of work there, but it's not clear what exactly and for what purpose)))
We're working hard:D
And once upon a time, you had kj1313 at the helm, and you had few Heroes 3 players, just like the Vampires and all the young clans that are now in the SCN. To our great joy, both the Vampires and the Knights in Heroes 3 have strong players, but in Heroes 5, you've used up your players just like we have. And it all started in order to unite our players, so that our clans could participate in Heroes 3 tournaments. The SCN was created after so much effort and debate on both sides; by that time, the situation in the clans had normalized in Heroes 3, and the SCN was no longer necessary in Heroes 3. But as I see, you don't have many players in Heroes 5, and neither do we. Maybe in a clan war in Heroes 5, we can unite our players under the SCN flag:) Time passes, and circumstances change; the SCN simply took a long time to create. We planned it for six months with the leaders of four clans.
Even though we don't have many players, LeoLopus has been running tournaments for several years now, and he's doing a great job!
Volodymyr, please refrain from such fanciful depictions; I'm just saying.
Rusty nails are stronger than prophets..."
"As they killed, so they will continue to kill
As they forbade, so they will continue to forbid
As they imprisoned and exiled, so they will continue to do so
As they burned and shot, so it will always be
On the entire planet, it's a dead season."
Все в ней нулево и кукольно.
everything else is up to your imagination/complexes.
Don't forget to include the quote in your post.
We played a mini-game for nostalgia's sake...
Two of my friends joined on day 3, and by then, it was already my game; there were Vivos here and Vivos there, plus Hydras appeared in the first round...
Usually, with this template, they place the computer-controlled opponents in such a way as to avoid duplicates. The template isn't very balanced to begin with, and you're making it even worse. What's so appealing about winning if you start with two swamps? :)
We decided not to choose, and besides, playing against a castle like Conflux with a swamp faction doesn't seem appealing :smile10:

I voted "yes," although there's no 100% guarantee that Valentin will change his behavior. Look at what's happening on HW? Wlk77 won the last "BEST," and he's participating in this one. Alex was close to winning this "BEST," and he was kicked out of the tournament.

To be honest!!! I really miss the 2007-2008 era of the forum... That gaming and peaceful-cozy atmosphere. When I eagerly read Invisible's and Decontaminator's reports, smiled at Loi's and Dirty's humor...
When there wasn't even a hint of all those squabbles and intrigues.....
But then a couple of elements appear and now and then flooding, snideness, and insults start slipping through.... The vast majority of people are well-mannered, so these messages get ignored, but they are absorbed and stored in the mind. New players arrive, and some of them, seeing such squabbles, insults, and flooding, think: "Well, some folks are mocking this guy, let me join in too.... So to speak, announce my arrival..."
I can't help but mention how impressed I was by the Portal's atmosphere when I took my first steps there.... Messages like "Sir .... def Sir ...." and this is our time!!! When I timidly messaged DeepMike, Neoandi, or Vitalik on ICQ.... That I could allow myself to flood somewhere or latch onto someone's message with a joke or sarcasm.... I didn't even have such thoughts!!! Although in real life, I'm quite a prickly character..
On the World, detailed reports and sincere thanks for games further reinforced my attachment to this forum....
And now what?...? Yes, many great players have arrived. Yes, the skill level has increased greatly!!! Yes, there are many interesting tournaments now.... But the communication atmosphere and the very highlight of HeroesWorld have faded.... We should think about why and where we are heading? You can hide in your shell and passively observe what's happening, occasionally leaving your mark by voting in polls, elections, etc. But that won't last long.... And in a year, people will flock to some fresh and untested resource....
_____
P/S: and this widespread "No beginners, please" in profiles .....How cool we've become!!! Was it so long ago that we ourselves were knocking on doors?? Everyone says the forum is developing, many new strong players are coming.... But have you thought about how many beginners get disappointed in the forum when, in response to a game offer, they get "Sorry, I don't play with beginners".... Then who are they supposed to play with???? The bot again??
For comparison.....Look at reports from mid-to-late 2008, almost all of 2009. Or the rating table. How many new nicks are there and how many reports involving beginners.... Don't count the top players who came from neighboring resources, but rather the actual starting players.
And look at late 2009 and the current 2010. How many new nicks will you see??
Yeah.... To be honest!!! And I really miss the 2007-2008 period of the forum's existence...
When there wasn't even a hint of all these squabbles and intrigues...
And I myself have probably seriously wanted to leave three times already - grievances, misunderstandings, it brought me to tears. But I'm still here - because I can't do it any other way ;) Apparently, this is love :p
P.S. The situation with phrases like "noobs - step aside" - I also consider more than disgusting!!! Newcomers need to be helped and taught. Always. And who helped you when you yourselves were noobs?

That was bad. But look - has HW died? Did it stop playing Heroes? Did it stop developing? So NO. And you won't see that happen.)
Tanya, can I say this honestly, hand on heart? By the time I came to HW, I had already been playing on Portal for a long time, played on the League occasionally, hung out in many places, and Heroes had already gotten somewhat stale for me. But HW captivated me with one thing, or not a thing, I don't know how to put it correctly. With its players. People here were genuinely interested in playing tournaments. I remember how we all discussed who completed what, what the tricks were, and so on and so forth. It was simply interesting both to teach people various tricks and to learn myself, because no matter how super-duper-mega-good you are, you still don't know everything.
But it all ended overnight. With the wiping of the ranking, the creation of the tournament off-patch, and the departure of many strong players who didn't want to play under those conditions. Some just left, some even got themselves banned. And even then there were shouts like, well, go ahead, we're not holding anyone. What did this lead to? The offline component of HW simply faded away. If before HW in this regard was almost on par with HP, last year well... everyone sees it. It's good that there's a person like Kostya, who understands everything and is starting to revive offline tournaments by holding them according to HP Rules, which many here smeared with mud during the creation of the patch. But things are starting to get better. Though, I repeat, almost two years down the drain. In Heroes 2, by the way, things are much worse. No matter how much I tried to convince Querty that you can't require playing on Book, he's stubborn. As a result, purely HW tournaments get 3-4 players. Joint tournaments held on two versions gather far more people.
Now about online. Yes, in a neighboring topic they reproach me, saying I don't play myself but stick my nose everywhere with my megaposts. Well excuse me, I used to play before, circumstances have changed somewhat. But I've been following all the major events in the online world for several years now. I'll say honestly, HW has developed very strongly in online terms over the last two years. And not the least role in this was played by newcomers from other worlds. When AK was elected, I thought it was a very good thing, and on the Portal I always cited it as an example. HW is currently without a doubt the best online resource for Heroes.
But now AK is essentially doing what was done two years ago in offline. If people don't see this, that's very bad. A judge, an organizer, beyond all this is also a diplomat. If he can't find a common language with all players, that's very bad. And if he also can't assess what one or another of his steps will lead to, what consequences - that's doubly bad.
P.S. The situation with phrases like "noobs - step aside" - I also consider more than disgusting!!! Newcomers need to be helped and taught. Always. And who helped you when you yourselves were noobs?
Exactly, Tanya, punish the wicked Piterius. He writes his posts about me, accusing me of not playing, instead of playing with such a noob as me, helping and teaching me :smile39:
