I tried to delve into it, and here's what I came up with:
1) An immature, spoiled boy lost his parents, then he was marked, and he summoned a demon and made a contract to take revenge. Well, you can attribute this to his young age and Ciel's pathological lack of brains, although it's not entirely clear how he summoned Sebastian.
2) Instead of revealing himself to his relatives, he began preparing for revenge and only appeared after six months (if I'm not mistaken).
3) Ciel himself carried out his revenge by eating cakes, playing chess, and giving orders to Sebastian, such as "go there, find out that" and "kill him," surviving only because of Sebastian's strength, because even thinking wasn't part of Ciel's duties.
4) When the Angel (by the way, in the episode where his memory was rewritten, I was still leaning towards Ash's side, because the goal was noble, although later his goal became distorted, but apparently "so that Ciel wouldn't seem so evil"), rewrote his memory to "cleanse him," Ciel could have become quite normal and reasonable, but he was more attracted to his mental deviations and obsession with "revenge and hatred," and he began to say with a pretentious air that he was so good, "Without revenge, I won't exist, hatred is part of me..." blah blah blah, of course, people can't be completely "good," but he's not saying "a person without flaws is a person" (which, by the way, is a well-known truth), but "Hatred is the meaning of my life, and I don't give a damn."

If there is any philosophy there, it's for teenagers under the age of fourteen, because there's as much philosophy there as in Hetalia or Chlorka. By the way, there's no philosophy in Hellsing either; it's just a high-quality surreal/action/absurd story. Philosophy exists in Lain, although it's intertwined with mind-bending concepts, in Senpai Doesn't Want Me, although it's only used for humor, even in The Horrifying Tales (manga, the anime adaptation is just terrible) and Gintama. But definitely not in Black Butler. There is dark humor, which I also enjoy. And the ending, by the way, is good; I had been waiting for Ciel's death for so long that I was just glad when he finally died, although I felt sorry for Lau, Aberline, and the servants (if they died).

After "Rain," I thought I'd get hooked on anime, but no. I looked at the number of episodes in the most famous anime series and was shocked.

Are you kidding or are you serious?)) When I heard about "Rain," I thought for a couple of months that it was definitely not my thing, that I probably wouldn't like it, and so on. I watched it – I couldn't get enough! I liked the characters and the atmosphere, as well as the lack of yaoi, yuri, a bunch of pretentious outfits on everyone, and breasts of a certain size.
I don't like drawn-out soap operas and purely romantic themes. I don't like yaoi and yuri. I don't like bland everyday life without any fantastical elements. Everything else is worth my attention :D
In general, it's useless to recommend anything to me. I'll remember it at best in a year, and even then, only if someone reminds me.

Well, if you're looking for recommendations, here are some of the best, in my opinion, and you might like them:
1) Rubaki (all seasons and OVAs), except for the fourth one, are very good. It's a high-quality parody of fantasy, and that's what it is.
2) Axis Powers: Hetalia, a humorous series that satirizes history and stereotypes about countries, although the manga is better.
3) Joyless Sensei, a series with a lot of humor and satire, poking fun at many topics, depicting ordinary school life with a very unusual teacher and students XD.
4) Gintama is a seinen series that satirizes everything from gamers and dentists to Miyazaki films, manga artists, and Barack Obama. It's a mind-blowing, but high-quality series.
5) One Piece is a wacky seinen series with a fantasy-pirate theme. If you're not bothered by snail-phones, cyborgs (there are almost no sci-fi elements, with a few rare exceptions) that run on Coca-Cola, fruits that give people superpowers, a reindeer doctor, and a swordsman who fights with three katanas, then I recommend you watch it.

Whatever, I liked Avatar. It's a kind of heartwarming fairy tale, with humor and self-irony at their best. I didn't expect such quality from an animated movie at first, so I recommend it to everyone.

Firstly, Avatar is an **American cartoon**, and like W.I.T.C.H., which is of French production, it has nothing to do with anime. As for the cartoon itself... it's aimed at a young audience, children aged 10-12, and I personally outgrew it, so I didn't particularly like it, although the action is quite good when it comes to battles between people.
