What type of magic do you like best?
No matter how much we argue, Logistics, Wisdom, Earth, and Tactics are essential! After that, you can add Pathfinding and something else. I consider Diplomacy to be the most important for… influencing the opponent, and Intelligence is a gift from God, especially since there are more good warriors than mages. Ranged Attack is useless, but Attack and Defense are useful skills… unless you’re playing as a mage. Resistance is good for the endgame, but for everything else, it’s useless! Scouting, Training, Education, and Estates are also needed, but not for the main hero… Correct me if I’m wrong. :)
It’s written interestingly, of course, but as I see it, it’s just a list of things that are more or less liked! Logistics are definitely always needed, and Earth is a great magic skill, and it’s also hard without it, but Tactics and Wisdom aren’t always needed, believe me… Why is it interesting to say that Ranged Attack is useless? Pathfinding will only be useful to you if there are lands like swamps, deserts, and snow… otherwise, it’s a completely useless skill.

Tactics - maybe, but wisdom always! On maps larger than average, there is always an opportunity for Swamp and Barbarian to capture a castle of another faction and build the guild up to level 4-5. Not to mention that Earth magic books and so on, which are sometimes found in Dragon Utopia, become useless without Wisdom.
Archery is good for Tower. But for others, Attack ultimately gives a greater bonus to damage. For an archery army, Tactics is more useful for favorable positioning of the archers, and Defense for those who protect them.
...and their absence happens extremely rarely and on maps smaller than average. :)

If considering the game based on the forum template, you don't actually run for more than 4 weeks here, and building up to level 4-5 isn't that simple, as it requires development + it's not a given that you'll be lucky with magic... The only thing is hope for Pandora's boxes, which might give something decent... Tactics is also a good skill, but if more necessary ones aren same learned, it's not worth taking; however, if for example Logistics, Attack, Defense, and Earth Magic are already learned, why not take Tactics if offered... Regarding Wisdom, I think you should play more carefully, because if you have some magic book, you definitely don't need Wisdom—the hero will know everything without it ;)
Marksmanship is good not only for Tower, but wherever there are other good shooters; for example, Castle has an excellent start!

Regarding wisdom, I think you should play more carefully, because if you have some kind of magic book, you definitely don't need wisdom—the hero will know everything without it;)
I really didn't know about this, because taking books from neutrals (usually levels 6-7) or in Dragon Utopia only happened after pumping wisdom up to expert.
Live and learn, as they say! :D

1 Armor - Attack
2 Logistics - Tactics. These skills provide an indirect bonus; it still needs to be implemented. Tactics are indispensable, especially when combined with Haste; it's the best way to counter an opponent's ranged attacks.
Based on my modest online experience, I must say that Tactics is one of the most essential skills, without exaggeration. Here, the esteemed Gomunguls clearly got carried away. Only Logistics is more important than Tactics, and maybe 2-3 other skills depending on the circumstances, in my opinion, and even then, Logistics isn't always necessary on maps the size of El. But if you need to quickly break through a strong ranged unit block for a rush, or conversely, protect your own ranged units from neutrals with a speed of 11-12+, then no amount of Logistics will help you:D. Not to mention the endgame.
I'm not arguing that Tactics isn't needed!!! But let's be realistic. We're talking about games played with templates. You need to take, for example, a Consul, and attack and defense with earth magic are more important than Tactics... I won't even mention Logistics, it's obvious. But how can you say that Logistics is on par with Tactics?... Well, there might be 25 Titans standing there, but if you get to them faster with Haste, will it be easier?? Will it really help?? It's true that eliminating ranged units and in Fortress Battles is a plus, but still, those skills, in my opinion, are much more important than Tactics. I've already said that when heroes meet, they are often level 10-15, sometimes a little higher, and what should you learn first in those 10-15 levels...

In my opinion, the priority of skills:
1. Armor - Attack
2. Logistics - Tactics. These skills, let's say, give an indirect bonus, which still needs to be implemented. Tactics is an indispensable thing, in combination with Haste, it is the best means against the opponent's ranged attack.
no problem, if you learn all of this, the class will be awesome!!!:smile54:

But if you need to quickly create a strong ranged defense for your faction or, conversely, protect your ranged units from neutral creatures with a speed of 11-12+ - then no Loga will help you:D.
Well, if there are 25 Titans standing there, and you arrive faster with Haste, what will happen?? Will it be easier??
Let me chime in too.
1. Logistics.
I always take it for all heroes. Instead of Necromancy, I choose Logistics on the chest. When choosing between Logistics and, say, Castle, I always pick Logistics. It's the most important skill, and Kirill is just overpowered.
2. Armor.
I also value it highly. If I have to choose between Earth and Armor, I'll think about it, but I'll ultimately choose Armor. And in the arena, I often choose +2 to defense. Mainly because of the Canned Goods, I'm hesitant to go into the dungeon without it. And it also causes a lot of trouble for the opponent in battle. I won't even mention the Swamp Tank and the Rampart's Armor, I don't know how to kill them at level 20, except maybe with magic.
3. Earth.
No comments needed, I rarely refuse it. Yesterday, I didn't take it on the second level for Gosha.
4. Air/Tactics are somewhat equal, I take them when the above-mentioned skills are available. If not, I rarely take them (for example, if I see that I need to defeat Cyclops with 121, Tactics makes it more pleasant), I'm picky, so I often have Wisdom on the sixth level.
5. Offense.
6. Archery/Intelligence/Pathfinding/Wisdom are all in the same category, I choose based on the situation.
The Hut with Goods is useful for weak heroes, and it's desirable to have at least one hero with Literacy
If it's a Necropolis, I usually max out the Necromancy skill, although if I see that there's an opportunity to gain a few levels nearby, then when a Logician appears, I need to recruit it.
And Earth magic almost always rules – it provides mass slow, mass shield, controlled teleportation, and much, much more.
But actually, it's wrong to argue about this. It only depends on the situation. All these skills are good for different situations. Shakti already has tactics, so of course it's better to level that up before offense. But if there is a consa—you will still strive for him first. And if there is a crowd of shooters—obviously tactics are better. But if not, if for example there are shooters, and you are offered a choice between adv tactics or Armor, or logi. I don't believe that anyone would choose tactics. Or at the 3rd level Tazaru is offered logi and tactics, or earth—will you take tactics?
