The world tournament for Heroes of Might and Magic involves players from 4 resources: www.heroesworld.ru, www.heroesportal.net, www.heroesleague.ru, and http://heroes.hardwired.hu/
1. General Provisions
1.1 Any registered user of one of the four resources can participate in the joint tournament: www.heroesworld.ru, www.heroesleague.ru, www.heroesportal.net, and http://heroes.hardwired.hu. An identical final results table will be posted on all sites. However, it is strongly recommended to register on all sites – this way, you can receive bonuses on all four forums.
1.2 The tournament is held on the following game version:
The tournament is held on the version of the game: Heroes of Might and Magic I (Heroes of Might and Magic I: localization by the "BUKA" company).
1.3 Tournament duration: from October 24 to November 24, 2009.
1.4 Tournament winners receive rewards corresponding to each of the resources (a badge in the profile and under the avatar, rating, points, fiefs, arrob, mines) on each of them. At the end of the year, the best players in the rating receive additional awards in the form of cups, certificates of honor, T-shirts, and other prizes.
1.5 ATTENTION! Throughout the tournament, the player MUST save the game at the beginning and end of EACH game day and keep them on their computer! The judge has the right to request daily saves from ANY player and explanations for them, up to a description of the tactics of a specific battle. If there are no satisfactory (from the judges' point of view) explanations, the player's result will be annulled. If the necessary saves are missing, the player will be credited with a loss. The statute of limitations (the period during which daily saves must be kept) is 10 days after the tournament results are announced.
1.6 The tournament leaders are:
HeroesPortal - Sub-Zero,
HeroesWorld - VDV_forever,
HeroesLeague - Dust.
heroes.hardwired - Kiki (szilupa)
1.7 The player must name their final save with their nickname and send it to: [email protected]. The letter must indicate the difference (or lack thereof) in the player's name (nickname) on the various resources, as well as whether they are registered on HeroesPortal, HeroesWorld, HeroesLeague, and heroes.hardwired.
2. Restrictions on Gameplay
2.1. It is strictly FORBIDDEN to use cheat codes, prohibited bugs, or hack saves in the final playthrough. However, it is allowed to use the standard cheat code for the initial reconnaissance of the save, i.e., in the draft version, and to use all programs listed in section 23. Programs.
Note - for violating this rule, a player-cheater may face a lifetime ban or a special mark in their profile.
The following are prohibited:
2.2. Buying back your dismissed or killed (but not those who fled/bought their way out) heroes on the day of their dismissal/death.
2.3. Buying back leveled-up computer heroes (a leveled-up hero is defined as a hero whose experience, primary skills, artifacts, spellbook contents, and its presence differ from the standard starting values).
2.4. Using a bought-back hero who fled/bought their way out in a battle on the day they fled/bought their way out. It is allowed to buy back such a hero;
* If a hero fled/bought their way out/died in battle during the turn, they can be bought back and used immediately.
2.5. Digging up the Ultimate Artifact without visiting all the obelisks. To prove this, the player must send the organizers, along with their final save, another save that shows that all the obelisks were visited before digging up the UA. The name of such a save must end with "UA".
2.6. Visiting skeletons, cemeteries, demon caves, and sunken ships.
2.7. The use of other game bugs is prohibited. Using mapmaker errors is allowed.
2.8. Openly discussing the tournament on the Internet during its duration.
If you have any questions, please contact the tournament leader.
Note - All known bugs and prohibited techniques are described in detail in section 24. Bugs and prohibited techniques in the game.
3. Sequence of actions for participating in the tournament and preparing the final save.
3.1. Download a save from any resource on which the tournament is held.
3.2. The downloaded save must be placed in the GAMES folder of your installed Heroes 1 game.
3.3. Load the save and start the game at any time that is convenient for you (i.e., players play on downloaded saves. Restarting the game is prohibited), while remembering to make intermediate saves.
3.4. The final save must be made before performing the last action. The final save should have two heroes remaining (the other heroes must be dismissed): the one performing the last action and the hero whose parameters are counted; if these heroes are the same, only one should remain.
3.5. The letter with the save must contain:
- the winning save itself;
- a description of the actions leading to victory (if it is necessary to win a battle and victory is not achieved in auto-battle - a detailed description of the battle tactics);
- an indication of the hero whose total parameters are counted for the second victory criterion;
- an indication of nicknames on all resources.
4. Starting save and task completion condition
The tournament is held for speed, i.e., you need to complete the map in the shortest possible time, defeating all opponents.
The starting save has already been generated.
The map from which the save was generated is Starfall Isle No. 173 in the reference.
P.S. I ask the esteemed Kamikaze to translate these tournament rules. After the translation, these rules + the starting save will be sent by email to the following people:
HeroesPortal - Sub-Zero, HeroesLeague - Dust, heroes.hardwired - Kiki (szilupa), DaMaGepy for final approval.
Sincerely, VDV_forever
