Seasonal "Best Player per Castle" Nominations

(season - summer 2009)

The winners were determined based on the results of the summer season rating tournament.

Criteria for determining the winners:
1. The participant played more than 5 games with a specific castle in the tournament.
2. More than 75% wins with this castle.

A short interview with the winner.

Pit for LM: Have you been familiar with HOMM3 for a long time?
Wlk777: I started playing Heroes 3 about 10 years ago (I'll clarify that my real age is older than what is indicated in my profile). My first human opponents were friends; we played Hotseat almost non-stop... I quickly reached a level where it became uninteresting to play against the computer, and not always possible to play against people... Then (about 5 years ago), local networks appeared in our city (Volzhsky, Volgograd region), but despite the large number of participants, there were still few opponents, and honestly, zero worthy ones (oh, where was my fellow countryman Vitaly-Gomungulus...).

Pit for LM: How did you end up on HeroesWorld?
Wlk777: Approximately until early 2008, there were no unlimited games in our city; as soon as they appeared, I began looking for opponents online, stumbled upon HW, and immediately chose it.

Pit for LM: Your first steps on HW... What do you remember?
Wlk777: I don't remember my first online opponent on HW; I remember my first victory – it was an interesting battle with a strong opponent... We played against Dubrovin Pavel; I had a ramp map against his swamp. He came with 30+ ducks on week 4, thinking that would be enough for a newbie, but the berserked ducks only bit their own =). Although, I must admit, the distribution there was tough for me, giving away uniques, dragons, 2 dryads, etc.

Pit for LM: At the beginning of the tournament, you immediately suggested that all opponents play on CM maps. Did your attitude towards other templates change during the tournament?
Wlk777: I liked the Panic template. There is much less imbalance in the distribution, and therefore the battles are often more interesting.

Pit for LM: What did you like and dislike about the Best regulations? What would you suggest changing?
Wlk777: First of all, I liked that the regulations were followed. If something didn't appeal to me and I had suggestions, I would have written them in the topic.

Pit for LM: What is most important to you on the forum: games, victories, communication, atmosphere...?
Wlk777: All of the above.

Pit for LM: A little about yourself: what else do you enjoy besides Heroes? Do you have any hobbies? Favorite sport? Do you practice it or just watch?
Wlk777: Just a bit of everything; I used to swim and play basketball, but now I'm lazy =).

Criteria for determining the winners:
