Impressions of the King’s Bounty: Armored Princess Walkthrough

Player Name: VDV_forever (since this is the player's name, not the character's :D )

Game Difficulty: Impossible

Character Class:
Warrior

Level upon completion: 53

Stats: 30 attack, 30 defense, 9 intelligence, 106 rage, 57 mana

Score achieved: 1534

Playtime: 16 hours

Real-world completion time: Over 1 month (2-3 hours in the evenings after work)

Impressions of the walkthrough: I want to thank the developers once again for this unique product, which I continue to enjoy over and over, including King’s Bounty: The Legend. In this game, you managed not only to realize all my desires and ideas about a classic turn-based strategy in a new century using new technologies, but also to bring to reality what no one had managed to do since Heroes of Might and Magic I, 2, and 3! It is gratifying to see that our developers were finally able to create a masterpiece—a game that millions of fans of the same series waited for, but never received from a foreign producer. My deepest gratitude to you and your families.
One could go on and on about all its merits, but I still want to highlight the most important point for me:
The game features a unique, balanced combat system without random morale drops, luck, or abilities (as seen in Heroes of Might and Magic); battle repeatability is 100%!
I loved everything about the walkthrough! Most importantly, in this add-on, I managed to collect several sets of artifacts at once for the first time (which wasn't possible in The Legend), which certainly pleased me. The world building and character development are done in such a way that it makes sense to clear all islands, which I also really liked; as a result, only a few monsters (the weak ones on the map) remained alive. It became meaningful to play without losses, even if just for statistics, after quickly obtaining the 3rd rank. Total of 240 battles without losses (3-4 battles with losses: 1-2 at the beginning (in the training camp!) and 2 at the end against Khtau and Baal).
The new monsters are simply a masterpiece! I didn't part with the Royal Griffins for a single battle; it's just a pity that I never encountered Demonologists for hire.

Your game strategy: Randomness worked out such that at the beginning on Debir Island, I came across Royal Thorns (which I had already grown fond of in The Legend), Royal Snakes, + snake boots artifact, Inquisitors, and Archers—that's who I ran with.
Later, after opening the Rusty Anchor, Bolo, and Verona, my army consisted of: Evil-eyes, Beast-eyes, Royal Thorns, Inquisitors, and Royal Snakes; in some battles, I replaced Beast-eyes with Assassins and Royal Thorns with Trolls.
When I opened Tekron, my happiness knew no bounds; there I discovered Royal Griffins (they spawned in only one place!) who served me faithfully throughout the game! Returning to Verona and clearing it a bit, I hired Paladins, who also resurrected all my warriors until the end of the game! After hiring them, it became a banal clearing of islands. Roughly from the middle of the game, the army stabilized and looked as follows: Paladins, Royal Griffins, Evil-eyes, Beast-eyes, Assassins, with Trolls and Royal Thorns in reserve. I ran like this for quite a while until I returned to Terkon and hired Giants! I replaced Assassins with Giants and continued clearing. When I collected the Ogre set and bought the Royal Hammer, as well as the portrait of the Griffin King, I became practically invincible. Experiments replacing Beast-eyes with Ancient Ents, Dragons, or Lizardmen did not lead to the desired effect; morale immediately worsened, which was certainly not in my favor, so I finally formed this army: Giants, Paladins, Royal Griffins, Evil-eyes, Alchemists (Trolls in reserve—not needed), with which I ran until the very finale.

Taking into account artifacts such as:
- Royal Hammer +5 attack, -15% leadership requirement for Dwarves;
- Horn of King Borg +5 attack to all Dwarves, -10 leadership requirement for Dwarves;
- Ogre Set +2500 leadership, +6 defense, +4 attack, +20% damage to Giants, Ogres, and Trolls, +1 speed to Ogres, Trolls, and Giants;
- Assassin Set +20% critical hit chance, +20% to hero's base attack, -30% enemy attack at night and evening;
Miner's Helmet +500 leadership, +20% enemy attack at night and evening.

All key battles with leaders (Khtau and Baal) took place at night. Other battles were automatic and presented no difficulty after level 25.

Main tactics in battles:

1) Royal Griffins (RG1) fly to the middle of the battlefield, leaving 1 action point;
2) Phantom on griffins (PG);
3) Summon guards RG1;
4) Alchemists move 1 cell forward and hit at least 3 stacks with Poison Potion, poisoning everyone;
5) PG flies to the enemy shooters, blocking them from firing, and summons guards;
6) Hot Lava, or Battle Frenzy (if there are Fracons in the enemy army), or Egg in the mid-game stage (without Paladins).
7) Evil-eyes shoot painfully at the enemy or take control of someone;
8) Giants accelerate and jump, fully restoring mana and dealing significant damage to the enemy.
9) Paladins recharge the guards summoned by RG1!!! and resurrect everyone at the end of the battle. 10) Time Rewind can be used on Giants if the opponent uses Armageddon or other strike magic.

Note – since only the guards summoned by RG1 have action points left at the end of round 1, the AI most often attacks them; since the enemy has already moved, the AI is barely interested in them, but if it attacks RG1, it usually dies from infinite retaliation.

P.S. I never took Dragons, Droids, or Undead into my army!

Magic: Up to level 8, I had no opportunity to use it, as a Barbarian with magic runes has a lot of tension. After studying Distortion magic—which is all a Barbarian needs—things got more cheerful. I never found Stone Skin, just like the Demonologists and the "Thorned Circlet" artifact. I used strike magic only a couple of times to see how fire or poison works at the start of the game, hence the 1% damage with magic. Occasionally I used Battle Cry to get a reward, but I didn't have the patience for degree 3; I kept forgetting about it. Main magic used in battles: Phantom and Sacrifice (100%), Wake the Dragon, Time Rewind, and Rage Control (50%), Mass Haste (2%).
I tried Nature's Call, realized it wasn't for a Barbarian, and abandoned it immediately. A few times I tried to cast Avenger Angel and Magic Source on guards, forgetting that all magic is removed from them. Once I used Mass Accuracy at the end of the game against Baal. I never used any other magic once, as there was no need.
Unused scrolls in spellbooks (including travel books) 147, crystals 119.

Dragonling: Really liked it. Used it until the very end. When the hero was level 32, the dragonling was already 50, as I prioritized upgrading the dragonling's training to the limit. Since I saw these skills for the first time, I had to rely on intuition when choosing the right ones. In the end, I developed Wall—it helped a lot at the beginning and mid-game (sometimes I placed 3 or 4 walls per battle), and the way he builds it made me smile! Egg—black, red, and bone dragons with Royal Griffins handled many important and decisive battles; IMHO the most useful skill! In the final results table, to be honest, I expected to see bone dragons, as they hatched most often and wiped out numerous enemy armies, but we have what we have. Towards the end, I used only one ability—Hot Lava. Treasure Hunting almost throughout the game, a very necessary skill; dug up most important scrolls (Sacrifice, Phantom) and runes. Mana Accelerator was very helpful, and the Diving Dragonling crashed into the ground when there were dragons in the enemy army.
Crushing Blow was used only at the start of the game. Ball Lightning and Battle Frenzy were practically unused.

Squires: Once I took Jim Crowd (pirate at the beginning), I went with him until the end of the game, +700 to leadership.

Skills: Strength skills: all maxed out, except Caution (2)—ran out of runes; Rapid Fire (1), Power of Darkness (1), Tactics (0) turned out to be unnecessary.
Spirit skills: developed only those that gave experience, rage, mana and critical hit, Holy Wrath, Prayer, Spirit Power, Training, Absolute Balance all at 3.
Magic skills: Wisdom (3), Distortion magic (Phantom, Time Rewind, Haste) (3), Chaos magic (Sacrifice) (2), Order magic (2), Transmutation (3)—the most useful skill!

Rewards: Really liked them; I would be glad if this type of idea were supplemented with new rewards and more development stages. All maxed out, except Traps (0), Guardian Angel (0) not used, Iron Knight (2)—always forgot to cast Battle Cry since it wasn't particularly needed.

Enemy Heroes: Really liked the system of instant contract task completion. The heroes have interesting stories; it's a pity that you can't communicate with many of them. I left some alone in hopes of getting a contract. It would be good to see which heroes are quest-related and which aren't—i.e., you see a hero, right-click on him, and there, among other things, is the letter "Q" for Quest. I remember one hero at the very beginning, Hector Norb (level 10), who serves the Dominion on Scarlet Wind Island, Demoness Uldara on Elon, who loves to use Armageddon at the end, and another knight on Tekron Island, Sir Gwendum, whom I struggled to defeat without losses for a long time and only punished in the very end.

Bosses: I started killing bosses late, and perhaps that's why they didn't present much difficulty for me.
Spider (level 32) really liked it; new ability, web entanglement, + throwing fire spiders, after which you catch fire yourself, forced me to think about how to avoid losses.
Frog (level 33) was amusing; killed it on the first try without losses.
Gremlion (level 48) lasted 3 rounds; he didn't have more than that. Giants and griffins with 90% crit did their dirty work, without losses.
Driller (level 38) first made me laugh when I saw how much health he had, then slightly shocked me by burying 3 stacks of my army and tripling his own health; had to reload once more, without losses.
Khtau (level 51) After reading on the forum that Khtau can only be taken out by dragons or undead, I decided to stash all my favorite troops in the Lizardmen's castle, took Black Dragons, Ice Dragons, Bone Dragons, equipped a Singing Dagger and Bracelets of Rage, attacked... and died without waking up on round 6. Reloaded, took my team again: Giants, Paladins, Evil-eyes, Royal Griffins, Alchemists; studied 2 scrolls before the battle: Insane Rage and Smile of Fortune, and also read Giant's Birth, and so instead of alchemists, whom I temporarily put in reserve, I got Ogres! And with such a friendly company, I went on the attack!
Killed him on the first try (Giants, ogres, and griffins rule as always) and without any dragons! I had losses, so I had to replay until an acceptable result was achieved. But unfortunately, losses could not be avoided. Lost all ogres summoned via scrolls, 19 giants, 16 paladins, 65 evil-eyes. Killed Khtau on round 6, and spent the following 24 rounds restoring everyone with Paladins using Phantom. 11 Earth-diggers, burying themselves in the ground, attacked taking away 65 health units while I was healing. I liked Khtau more than all others.
Baal really turned out to be the strongest leader in the game and for good reason he was placed at the finale! The most difficult battle in terms of losses. Before the final battle, I studied all enhancing scrolls and summoned Cyclopes instead of evil-eyes. Thus, the battle lasted 6 rounds. In the first, Mass Haste, Gilbert's Mass Blessing, and off we went. We pressed with crits as a group, using Time Rewind every turn on those monsters that suffered seriously from Baal's sword. Thus, losses were: 16 giants, 11 cyclopes, 79 griffins, 30 alchemists.

Quests and texts: Read with pleasure, and even reloaded to read the opponent's alternative answer. There are typos, but as they say, only those who do nothing make no mistakes.

Your interests, hobbies: Work, Heroes of Might and Magic I, King’s Bounty: The Legend,
King’s Bounty: Armored Princess.

What you want to add: I will wait with great impatience for the next masterpiece from the development team (be it an add-on, expansion, or a new KB), and I will be among the first to buy the same! If a Russian person takes up doing what they like to do, they do it with soul and full responsibility! Thank you Katauri!

I also finished the game :)

Player name: Amelie WOLF64
Game difficulty: Hard
Character class: Paladin
What level did you finish the game on: 56
What characteristics: 22 attack, 31 defense, 23 intelligence, 110 rage, 79 mana
How many points did you score: 1298
Game time: 9 days
Actual playthrough time: about a month (played a little bit almost every day)

Impressions of the playthrough: Excellent game. The expansion is no less than Lords of the Realm. Only positive impressions. And what pleases me is that the game didn't crash even once. And the disk check for protection (at the start of the game) didn't interfere and worked quickly and reliably.
Your game strategy: At the beginning, the random game was a little disappointing. For a very long time, the coolest unit in the army was 3 Royal Thorns (and nothing else was available). Until the Rusty Anchor, the troops were Royal Thorns, archers, inquisitors, beastmasters, royal snakes (thankfully, I bought snake boots at the beginning). Then, with the help of a scroll - Call of Death, I raised 49 vampires. I started going with vampires instead of Royal Thorns.
The main thing is to get the Great Strategist medal of the 3rd level as quickly as possible at the very beginning of the game, which gives +1000 leadership; for this, I tried to conduct battles without losses. I trained the dragon to level 3 (+60% experience for it), plus the dragon slayer medal (another 10%).
I cleared 4 islands, sailed to Verona - of the new neutral creatures available for hiring, there were demonologists....and nothing interesting nearby. I decided to make a move - when I got the scroll of the Isle of Elon, I sailed there, without battles I stole another scroll of the Isle of the Nameless...I quickly sailed there too (to the Nameless). There I took Gaudi as my assistant, bought 4 black dragons in stock, stocked up on simple and ancient vampires, plus the Blooddrinker sword (for the vampires) and the Necropolis Hand (experience in battle). I returned to Verona again. Approximately at this point, I downloaded patch 1.1.
I started going with two squads of vampires, inquisitors, demonologists, and black dragons.
Although there was little rage and mana, this did not prevent me from quickly leveling up the dragon. So it overtook the hero in development level by almost one and a half times for a very long time. All thanks to the inquisitors - due to their Holy Wrath skill, they constantly increased rage in battle, and a little later, when I learned the Phantom spell, I summoned several phantoms of inquisitors.
I primarily pumped up the dragon with: egg and dive attack! At the beginning of the game, archers slowed down (then burned), beastmasters put to sleep, and royal snakes, together with the snake boots, took out everyone.
So I cleared Verona (except for Demension and the tournament fighter) and Montero (except for the Driller).
When leaving Montero, I decided to take the Dragon Lair by storm with a level 29 hero, and the dragon at level 44 (about 80 in total, black, red, and green). I took meat and 4 black dragons...which were the only ones left in the end, plus one squad of meat resurrected after the battle.
There (in the lair) I hired three squads of different dragons.
In the end, with such an army, I went to the very end of the game - black, red, emerald dragons, inquisitors, and vampires (later I replaced the vampires with higher ones). With such an army, I defeated everyone almost without problems, although there were some long battles.
The tactic was as follows. If red or black dragons were killed during the battle, I healed them at the end of the round, and the phantom of the inquisitors resurrected them, so that there would be +1 dragon, even if not with full health. I tried to defeat almost all enemies on the battlefield as quickly as possible, then I left one enemy squad, slowed it down (or a squad of enemy archers, but so that there were very few of them left), and then slowly restored my losses in the battle. Inquisitors with phantoms generated rage, the dragon generated mana-accelerator...and so on until the entire army was restored. Sometimes I generated about 300-400 rage and 200-300 mana in one battle (with low hero stats - 50-50 rage and 40 mana...for a long time).

Magic: I didn't use combat magic, mainly - slow, healing, stone skin, phantom, restoration, later - sacrifice (so as not to run to other islands and not buy troops for myself as soon as leadership increases). Later - armor of god and time reversal (a super spell, especially for level 5 units)! Rarely - haste and war cry (mass).
Dragon: I used it very actively. In the end, it overtook the hero - it became level 58. Mainly - egg, dive attack, battle frenzy, and treasure hunter.
Retinue: I took Gaudi at the early stage. I started going with him from Verona...and I finished the game with him.
Skills: I didn't pump strength much, mainly the dragon and rage (later - attack with caution).
Spirit and Magic - almost completely.
Awards: Mostly all medals of the 3rd level, except for - trapper (1st), guardian angel, and warrior of light (2nd). I really liked the bonuses from most of the medals!
Enemy heroes: I don't know what to say. In fact, they were all invincible or deadly....but in the end, they were still defeated without losses. I can't single out anyone in particular.
Bosses: I defeated the bosses in the wrong order.
Spider - (5th day of the game). Amelie level 32, dragon - 47. Troops: 5 black, 6 red and emerald, 61 demonologists, 92 inquisitors. A long battle...but without losses. It turned out to be difficult, as it put the attacker in a web.
Frog - (6th day of the game). Amelie level 37, dragon - 50. Troops: 8 red and 6 emerald, 104 inquisitors and 140 vampires. Also long and without losses (although faster than the spider).
Cthulhu - (7th day of the game). Amelie level 46, dragon - 55. Troops: 12 emerald and 291 vampires. For the battle, I naturally took the Singing Blade. I specifically took only 2 stacks in the army. The vampires stood in the center of the map and distracted everyone (under stone skin), and the emeralds (under stone skin and armor of god), each round hit in melee with a painful blow (without a response). I periodically healed the dragon. (I didn't use time reversal or wrath control). The battle lasted 60 rounds. Losses - 1 emerald dragon, which I lost immediately in the 1st round during Cthulhu's massive attack.
Zilgadis - (8th day of the game). Amelie level 51, dragon - 57. Troops: 11 black, 14 red, 15 emerald dragons, 159 ancient vampires (total 4 stacks, I left the inquisitors in reserve). I took the diploma of a spellcaster. Weapon - for critical hit and protection from magic. Battle - 27 rounds, no losses.
Only starting with this boss, before the battle, I began to put on additional bonuses that give travel scrolls.((
Driller - (9th day of the game). Amelie level 54, dragon - 58. Troops: black, red, emerald, inquisitors, and ancient vampires. The battle lasted 3 rounds. The boss didn't have time to do anything, he just retreated back each time...until he was killed. (But when I was in Montero in the middle of the game and the hero was level 20-something....I didn't fight him)
Baal - (9th day of the game). Amelie level 55, dragon - 58. Before the battle, a bunch of bonuses from travel scrolls (including +20% leadership). Troops: 15 black, 19 red, 20 emerald, 386 inquisitors, and 177 ancient vampires. The battle lasted 15 rounds. Gilbert's troops were quickly defeated. The main striking force turned out to be emeralds and a few inquisitors. The emeralds often hit twice in a row in melee, and then I restored them with time reversal. Few losses.
Quests and texts: I didn't read them carefully, sometimes I just scrolled through them.

And where did you lose 605 units? On Khtau, 1 dragon, on Baal, and where else?
I remember exactly where I lost a lot, I wrote about it earlier, when I took the dragon lair by storm in Montero. When there were about 70 dragons, I lost all my troops - 328 units, but I saved all 4 black dragons.
On Baal, I lost 83 units. I played once and didn't replay. Although, I probably could have lost fewer, as I didn't have time to restore all the Incas and Vampires.
I don't remember the rest. I probably lost some units a couple of times in the first half of the game. :o
I remember exactly that there were no losses on the Arena of Death before the battle with Khtau!

The only thing is, I could have completed the game in 8 days if I hadn't gone to the demons on Sheterra. But I wasn't chasing the number of days, I was just playing for fun.

ps - VDV_forever, I also congratulate you on successfully completing the game, especially since you are the first one on our site to officially complete it! And even on the impossible level!!!

ps2 - I'm wondering why my final level turned out to be so high - 56th. Probably because after clearing Montero and Verona (hero around level 30), I already had two artifacts with experience - two Necropolis hands. An extra 20% to experience. And I already had the 3rd degree treasure hunter medal (7% to experience) in Verona!

ps3 - I remembered where else I lost a lot. On the island of Bolo, at the very beginning, when the hero was weak - I was taming the quest rebellious axe :o

Yesterday, I started playing as a Wizard (on impossible difficulty). Patch 1.1. The game is much easier now. :smile03: Debir cleared the area COMPLETELY without retreating, in just a few hours; now, on the Crimson Wind map, I'm leading the clearing. smile10:

Wolf64, let's play as Wizards on impossible difficulty, and we'll progress together. ;)

I also started playing again on patch 1.1, but...as the Warrior - on impossible difficulty :)
It's much harder to play than as the Paladin. I've almost cleared the 3rd island of Bolo (only 2 battles left).
Just before taking out the quest droid, I received the 3rd-degree Strategist medal (I was level 10). The extra +1000 leadership at the very beginning is definitely not a bad thing;)
Now, the hero is level 11...and the dragon is level 20! All battles - 53 so far without any losses (I even tamed the Axe).
There are no good spells at all, not even slow. :(

P.S. - right now, the in-game time is the beginning of the 2nd day (00:40)!!!

That's awesome!:smile20:
So far, I've fought 28 battles and also without any losses. I'm stuck on the 2nd island (Crimson Wind), I need to sail to Debir, replenish my troops, and at the same time, I'm wasting precious time, which is a pity...:(
On Debir, I encountered cursed ghosts, but they don't seem to want to multiply when I attack them, maybe my attack is too weak (1), or the number of ghosts is too small (5)?:confused:

P.S. The 1st in-game day is still going on:)

I've played 28 battles so far and haven't lost a single one. I'm stuck on the 2nd island (Crimson Wind), I need to sail to Debir, replenish my troops, and it's a waste of precious time, which is a shame...:(
On Debir, I encountered cursed ghosts, but they don't seem to multiply when I attack them. Maybe my attack is too weak (1), or maybe there aren't enough ghosts (5)?:confused:

P.S. The first day of the game is still ongoing:)

Ghosts are very picky - to reproduce during a battle, they need only living bodies! Undead, wooden creatures (thorns, dendroids)... and it seems fish - are not suitable for reproduction!

P.S. - I'm already on the 4th island. So far, all 62 battles without losses :)

PS2 - I'm writing this a little later. A small addition - I was wrong to think that you can't drain life from fish and have the ghosts multiply. It turns out you can increase the number of ghosts by draining life from them (sea devils)!!!!

Yeah. And I started a game as a Barbarian on difficulty 1.0 on "Impossible," and due to some silly random events on Red Island, I ran out of money, but ended up with over 50 crystals and a ton of spells. Now I'm playing as a Wizard on "Hard," and on Red Wind, all the units are deadly and invincible, and it's not much better on Bog. But how about 1.1, did they fix the balance, and is it easier to play now?

Did they significantly fix the balance in 1.1, making the game easier?
Yes, they adjusted the balance.
It became noticeably easier to play as a Mage. ;)

Good luck.

I knew about the mage, but I don't know how it is with the other classes. So, I'd better wait until the weekend, install the patch, and then continue playing as a mage. Hmm... as a sorceress.)

Hmm, it's faster to play with warriors, attacking with everyone, but it's a bit more difficult with a mage:( I barely managed 30 battles (+500 leadership:smile03:), and in the 32nd battle, I dug up a scroll (undead), now it's a little easier, because after using it, I had 8 ancient vampires in my army, and in combination with 16 ordinary ones and 11 ghosts, it became a little more fun to play.:smile03:

P.S. About the fish, yes, it turns out that 5 cursed ghosts with a critical hit of 140 drained only 55 units of life, but 60 are needed, so I had to go back to Debir and buy 5 more (losing precious time – 6 hours!), now they occasionally go out of control:smile40:

And what about it, did they significantly fix the balance in 1.1, is it easier to play?

The most important thing is that they fixed the damage from poison and fire, otherwise, I don't feel any difference.
Will the topic about kingdom records for the princess be opened?:smile24:

And about the islands, which one is better to clear first, Bolo or Crimson Wind?
I think it's better to clear Crimson Wind first, as most of the monsters there are weaker, but I, for example, couldn't clear it completely right away, so I went to Bolo, leaving a few undefeated enemy units on Crimson Wind.:(
And a lot depends on the initial random elements;)

/// about the islands, which is better to clear first, Bolo or Crimson Wind?
It's better to start by clearing Crimson Wind!
But, personally, I always leave 2 neutral squads on the island untouched - one, near the Coastal Church, a little lower (as you go down the wooden deck)... they guard a scroll and a chest. And the second - the quest hero Hector Norb.
I do this because I'll return to the island a little later.

This is my third playthrough, and I've realized that it's better to do it this way.
Debir, Crimson Wind, Bolo, Rusty Anchor.
At Rusty Anchor, we learn the password (Squid) from the parrot to enter the cave on Crimson Wind (the cave is called - Strange Door). And until you visit Rusty Anchor, you won't know the password - you won't be able to enter the cave - Rob Squid's Hideout - right away. And the cave is very good; after the battle with the zombie hero, there are always very good artifacts in a couple of chests!!!
Therefore, after Rusty Anchor, I sail to the 1st island - Debir, where I exchange the amulet of azazel (from the island of Bolo) with the priestess for the Stone of Hope!
After that, you can buy some valuable, expensive artifact from the King (you already have a lot of money) and sail to the 2nd island - to finish off one neutral squad and Hector....plus the Squid's cave.
Then - to Verona!!!

P.S. - you can also do this. After Rusty Anchor, complete the quest - mercenaries for Sohat - bring him 50 each - bandits, archers, pirates (this is already a matter of chance). For this, he gives you a key to enter the orc cave here on the island. Before entering, the quest hero Zag-Zag stands guard. In the cave, the Emerald Dragon (1 unit) always joins! It can be very useful to have one dragon in your army at the beginning of the game.
But I haven't completed this quest for Sohat yet - I'm too lazy to waste time swimming back and forth, buying 150 extra soldiers.....

I only just noticed that on the second island - Crimson Wind, you can get a useful artifact - shark tooth! (+5% experience and gold per battle) as a gift in a conversation with Jimmy Crowd (whom you can take as a companion if you wish) if you build the dialogue correctly at the beginning:
- it's not what's on the outside that matters, but what's on the inside......
- you saved a girl from a shark, amazing!......
get the artifact!!!!

P.S. - I cleared 4 islands, and only now did I discover this :(
