Here's what I wrote a little while ago, about a week ago... I thought the beginning was more important.
Some thoughts on the walkthrough.
Even from the very first battle, I was thinking about experience. So, first I picked up the Spirit Rune, upgraded it – level 1 training – and only then did I start fighting the dragon.
I didn't pick up any gold at all; it's unnecessary movement and a waste of time (the piles of money are too small)... I didn't even kill all the spiders... not enough experience. As a result, I got out of the training hall in just under an hour (54 minutes).
Since it's forbidden to pick up chests on the battlefield, the only good way left (besides the money given after the end of any battle) is to buy marauders so that they can search the corpses twice during the battle – and get gold... and the number of marauders and the number of neutral creatures killed hardly affect the amount of gold received during the search.
Next, to avoid buying new troops frequently to replace the killed ones, it's better to use vampires in battles; I did this until the end. Therefore, presumably, there were no losses in 98-99% of the battles. Vampires can always be obtained from carved coffins. There are always 3 such coffins in the Marsh Swamps.
As it turns out, you can only buy marauders in the swamp (in this case, in the tournament). Usually, they can also be bought in Greenhaven – from Rotten Heck, or in Verlon Forest in the bandits' hideout (near the Dragon Castle), or in Arlania – from the tavern keeper, Drin (the one who gives the quest – the dragon's tooth).
I left only archers in the army, took the airship quest, then – to the left, took the quest with the talking stone and the fishermen's small request, and immediately went back. Then straight to the Marsh Swamps. We pick up three carved coffins (we pick up gold from skeletons and graves), buy marauders (16), go to the Temple of the Lost Souls and give the money to the high priest, buy inquisitors (in this sequence – first we collect gold and buy marauders, and only then do we buy inquisitors... otherwise, there won't be enough money). We pick up the magic recipe (it's always in the same place in the grave), and run back to Greenhaven.
There's a certain subtlety with vampires – you can get from one to four vampires from one coffin, depending on your luck. For example, in the swamps, we raise 1 vampire from one coffin, but if we don't do this, but cross the veil to another map – Greenhaven – then we get three. Moreover, we can get different results if we try to raise vampires from each coffin one at a time, or raise them all from the three coffins at once – the result will be different. In this save, I had a case where I got 12 vampires at once from the three coffins, but this walkthrough was worse than the final one (by the way, I should have that save... I did this in the very first test run, but I couldn't repeat it later). In the final version, I got 10 vampires, first 6, and then 4 more.
I forgot to say that I tried not to touch any of the neutral creatures until I got the spirit box.
Near the castle, I lure out a slow unit and take the banner.
We buy archmages in the School of Magic and get the password to unlock the stone.
To complete the plugen quest, you have to fight several enemies.
We complete the donation quest, the fishermen's quota, and the plugen quest. We get a new royal quest with the king's brother. We hurry to complete it, as only after that can we get the quest for the box.
In Arlania, we take the quest with the dragon's tooth, outsmart the cyclops, and take the black box, talk to the king's brother, and give the tooth to the tavern keeper. In Castle Neville, we take the quest with the frogs.
Next – to the swamps. We cross the ferry and go to the other side. We don't touch anyone, but only complete the tasks, talk to Chwaha, collect lilies, make a potion, give it to Martha (the king's brother's girlfriend), and give the elixir with the muck to the gnome...
We run to Arlania, get the task from the count to bring the love potion, get it in the snake dungeon, bring it to the count, go down to the dungeon, lure out the necromancers, pick up the cage with the frogs, and successfully return to the count (without fighting the undead). We complete the quest for the king's brother.
The king gives us a new quest – a secret weapon.
We go to the forest. We get the box. In Verlon Forest – in the castle, we buy 34 poisoned rations and feed them to the spirit – Slim. Then we immediately fight the mages and activate Zerok.
It is from this moment that the battles begin (before that, I only fought for the plugens and with the wolf in Arlania). We upgrade training to level 3 (+20% to experience). The hero has just reached level 4 and activated both spirits. The time is 20:47.
We return to the swamps, fight the snakes and spiders, get the frog as a wife, and immediately propose marriage.
Next, everything is simple – Greenhaven, forest, spider dungeon... We sail on a ship (from the forest) to Arlania. There we fight the nearby griffins, cyclops, etc. We return to Greenhaven.
In the very end, we fight twice in the arena with heroes – levels 3 and 6.
As a result – on the 2nd day, at 2 hours and 53 minutes, we get to level 7.
I saved on movement – I tried not to pick up gold and scrolls, not to dig up chests from the ground, not even to pick up all the flags with leadership...
But it's still possible to go faster.
I wanted to tame the bronze ring, but the battle is on the verge. In the end, I didn't.
In all battles, I tried to use the spirits 3-6 times... that's why I upgraded Zerok to level 6, and Slim to level 8.
At the end of each battle, I left 1-2 enemy archers and restored fury (inquisitors).
In the middle of battles, if there were losses, I used magic – restoration, and the inquisitor could resurrect once.
At the end of the game, the wife had four children, the most useful, the last one, gave +5% to experience.
I didn't check what bonuses the pirate wife's children give.
By the way, the easiest quests in Greenhaven – I didn't do them – you waste time on running around, but you get little experience...
It's very tempting to fly to the turtle on an airship at the very end, but this takes some time... there, the computer thinks twice (sand clock), the shaman casts a spell, nothing can be done, and time goes by, and after the battle too...
By the way, the turtle is easy to kill without losses... I can tell you how – there are two ways to save 100% of your troops.
The main idea in battles is that if there are few troops, then you need spirits... that's why I tried to get them first... moreover, this coincided (along the hero's path on the map) with the quest to get a frog wife.
Vampires held back, archmages could cast shock and move once (plus 50% protection), fire spiders could put two in a net, inquisitors generated fury + resurrection, archers slowed down movement by 1 cell... at the beginning and in the middle of the game – marauders mined gold from corpses. In addition, the hero himself could also resurrect units and speed up (slow down).
P.S. - Ksandr-san, I'll be in last place))) – a good joke, but you forgot to add that you need to look from the end of the list :D
And secondly – 4+2+11=17, where did you find the curious 11 intellect? probably art?
