OK, I'll listen to them sometime when I'm in the mood. I've already downloaded some things from your list, so I'll check them out soon, maybe I'll like something... I'm not as into heavy music as I used to be; lately, I've mostly been listening to дет (det - likely referring to дет-метал, дет-рок, or дет-музыка, which could be a playful reference to "child's music" or a specific subgenre) and some black metal. It's time to move on to Lacuna Coil:D

Yes, such a harsh vocal style certainly suits death metal music, and often it's simply indispensable, but as for me, I didn't get used to it right away. At first, I listened to it when I was in the corresponding mood - when something annoys me, I just enjoy Children Of Bodom:D. It helps me cope with negative emotions (when they arise).
I have a positive attitude towards attempts to sing with clean vocals in дет. For example, the album Projector by Dark Tranquillity. But for some reason, there are fewer such attempts than I would like:(

I have a positive attitude towards screaming (especially the emo kind), but I don't really like growling. Death metal growls are often spiced up with harmonizers, or the guys just fill the compositions with them without, and I don't like that. I prefer low growls (like in Black Metal) in small doses – that's what I like...

That's definitely not me; I learned about different types of bands on TV, and I also learned about Children Of Bodom through it.

1. That's just your opinion. I think that if you compare their technique and so on, Maiden would give almost anyone a run for their money. But I won't argue about tastes, as that's already been discussed extensively.
2. In my opinion, it's not necessary to combine many styles; it's enough to simply perform your own style well. And if many styles are combined, then most likely a new style will be born, as happened with Finnish mdm.
3. Perhaps I shouldn't even argue with such a music expert as you, or you might make me look like a fool and embarrass me in front of everyone. That's scary.

What's your opinion on Modern Melodic Death Metal?

melodeath definitely rules, as does brutal death. Bands: Amon Amarth In Flames Death Cannibal Corpse Cradle Of Filth (they're actually gothic black metal, but they were death metal in the early days) kj1313: list some bands, because the word "modern" scares me =(. Melodic death has become mainstream. And growl is specifically a death metal thing, while shrieks are more of a black metal thing... and there are fewer and fewer cookie monster growlers - now many people don't even use voice processing.

What do you think about Modern Melodic Death Metal?

I prefer: Gothic, wikipedia, windows, true, suicide, negative, heavy, power, christian, satanic, emo, national, punk-oi, hardcore metal. These are classics...

and growl is specifically a Death metal thing, while shriek is more Black metal... and there are fewer and fewer Cookie Monster growl singers - now many people don't even use a computer to modify their voice.

Don't worry, "Modern" just means "Contemporary").
By this style, I mean that Melodic Death Metal incorporates elements of Nu-Metal or Hardcore... By the way, Modern Metal and Nu-Metal are the same thing, just to make the connection...

I liked the band Carcass here; it's something in between death and melodic death. But, in my opinion, it's definitely worth listening to.

Northern Gate is a pure Pagan. Just like Dark Dawn, Temple of the Butterfly, and many other groups, which, as Exz rightly pointed out, can be guessed by their name.
