I suggest we discuss antivirus software and everything related to it here (including viruses and how to combat them). I also ask you to participate in the poll. In it, I tried to reflect the most well-known programs for protecting PCs from viral threats.

Just one request:

no keys or pirated software in this thread!!!

I like Avast; it's free, convenient, reliable, and updates itself – it's just great. Did I mention it's free? :)
As for the others, they're not very good... Kaspersky is expensive and has a clumsy interface, and Nod32 isn't very reliable... Web... hmm.
But I don't know much about the other antivirus programs, and what other features do they have besides detecting viruses?

Voted! And I'm glad to see this. I only use avast! Antivirus. It makes me happy. It works great in both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems.

I can't agree with that; I've been using it for a while and haven't had any problems. I can say that I like Nod32:), it updates itself:), it's very convenient, and it doesn't cause any problems with the computer – it's really great:).

Nod32, version 3;)+ Outpost firewall. Although, in this case, Nod provides extra protection against Outpost's occasional glitches, rather than the other way around:)

Damn, I wanted to add it to the first post, but then I was making a poll and completely forgot...

I use Panda. It's an antivirus that's losing popularity in the modern market, but it's still quite effective. It has a user-friendly interface (although it seems complicated and a bit illogical at first, but that passes). I'm especially pleased with the built-in firewall in the version I use, which eliminates the need to use two programs for computer security. And, of course, it's a matter of habit. Panda was the first antivirus I used.

I have used the following antivirus programs: Avast, NOD32, Kaspersky, and Web. I liked the last one the most.

I used to have Kaspersky, and everything was great. But one day, a mean and drunk punk (let's not mention her name) brought a penetrator to my computer through a photo, and as a result, Kaspersky killed it, but it also affected an important file for Windows. A couple of weeks later, my computer completely crashed. Luckily, Windows was reinstalled, but everything on my computer was lost, including all my Heroes saves... but that's another story, and I won't tell it. The most important thing is that I now have NOD32, and experts say it's the best at dealing with penetrators and viruses that devour files and replace them with profanity. I wish I knew who invented it; I'd give them a good kick in the butt!

Only NOD32, and that says it all!

Throughout my experience, I've tried many different antivirus programs, and in my opinion, NOD32 surpasses all others in every way.

I used to use NOD, but unfortunately, my license expired :smile28: it was a free antivirus :smile28:. So, I switched to Kaspersky, and it actually detected a couple of simple Trojans after NOD. Then, my Kaspersky license also expired :D. The most interesting thing is that I connected my flash drive to another computer, and Dr.Web detected something else on it!)) I installed Dr.Web, and it didn't find anything on the computer!))) In general, out of these three antivirus programs, I think NOD is the best, and I plan to switch back to it.

IMO, the best one is NOD32 3.0. I've used Kaspersky and Avast, but on my old computer with 256 MB of RAM, they caused glitches. And on my laptop, they installed Kaspersky Internet Security - I'll uninstall it when the trial key expires.
P.S. You learn so many interesting things with this Security! For example, that the file explorer.exe has been modified (after installing Vista Transformation Pack) and needs to be quarantined, without any warning. Or that someone is attacking your computer on the local network every half hour (attempting to access it through the network environment is perceived as a hacker attack).

Recently, due to certain circumstances, I had to install Kaspersky... it was a nightmare! I reinstalled Windows three times, wondering what was going on. Then, Quick Heal disappeared... haha... it wasn't funny anymore. Now I've installed Avast again, what a great antivirus!

If I were to judge which antivirus programs are the best, I would choose three. (This is my opinion). 1. Nod 32 2. Dr. Web. 3. Outpost Antivirus

Kaspersky is garbage (I can explain why), NOD32 is good, but it overloads the computer...
I use Symantec Antivirus, and once a month I run AVZ.
